Alright, I've had a lot of people tell me to go to Elance, and sites similar like that to market my design, and development services. I never took much to that advice until tonight, because I thought the competition would be to strong, or I would be under-bid. Tonight I finally put together a quick, free portfolio on Elance (took me 20 minutes), browsed through the jobs until I found one that interested me, and then I wrote up an offer (took me another 20 minutes), then about 20 minutes later I got a message from the person that posted the job. I'm currently discussing a monthly fee to manage his social networks and help him monetize his sites. So stop being lazy and take action, I was able to land a decent gig in about an hour, you can too. Btw I'm 17 with no professional resume, or content on my profile besides a picture.
