Monthly subscription payment method?

Hia fellow Blackhat Members.


Will be making a local directory quite soon, where local businesses will be able to have a listing for a monthly price.
Was wondering what would be the best ways to ask for this payment? Paypal and credit card maybe? Or is there some kind of offline method?

Also i have found some nice directory software but if you have any to suggest, that would be welcome!

Has anyone already tried this kind of business? If so how is it going?

Paypal have a subscription feature you can use. However, offline clients are often not on the same level of tech knowledge as you may want them to be! So you could always try to arrange for a direct debit on their bank account. And if they don't like that, you can just hand write / type a simple invoice , and ask them for cash or cheque.

They are pretty much your only options as far as I can see. You could always request their service instead of cash, a sort of bartering arrangement? That would be cool to be able to go into your local pub, restaurent, etc and not always have to pay... It's an option I guess. Once I was asked if I wanted a massage in exchange for a website, the typical chinese happys endings massage
