So client who is payinme monthly for seo services here in the UK rang me this morning and said "what if money were no object, could we get all of our keywords (about 15 in all) in the top three in less than 3 months"? I didnt know what to say to him. any ideas?

if money were no object what would you do to get 15 keyword in the top 3 in three months?

i usually outsource most of the work anyway, but in 3 months to rank 15 keywords what woudl I give to the outsourcers? what services do you think would work best while still keeping on the goodside of google and avaoiding the sandbox?
 
Did you look to see if that was even possible based upon his competition and his onsite SEO?

I'd begin there and then consider what you would need to do in terms of work to get him the desired results.
 
yeah the domain is pr 3 ive been doing seo for him on 3-5 keywords (all page 1)for the last 12 months. on page seo is bang on, just wondered if a big push with a budget of 25k over 2 or 3 months could push the rest to page 1. more interested to see if anyone has any ideas on how to nail multimple keywords in a short time with a huge budget
 
yeah it can be done depending on keyword and if those credentials are true shouldnt be that bad pm me to discuss
 
Yaa def possible if site is established... Budget is always big factor in such cases and when budget is no bar then lol you may get more keywords... Still without checking keyword and competition it's not possible to comment...

Sure you can, but you're not going to want to waste your budget on grunt services. You're going to want to find highly relevant targets and try to obtain them. You need links from sites that are already ranking in the top 20 and you're going to have to get very creative to get them.

Why does every SEO person I know outsource to someone else? lol.

Are you guys just middle men, then? Do you tell your client that you're outsourcing or do they think it's you doing the work?

What happens if there's a problem with the work and the person to whom you're outsourcing bails? How do you explain that to the client?
 
There's a big difference in value between SEO strategy planning and grunt work. A good SEO consultant should be making at least 10 - 30 times hourly what you'd pay someone who is doing directory submission or something like that. Because honestly one link I can get is worth thousands of whatever they can get.

The last time I was doing full time consulting the work I did for the clients was bringing in well over $500 / hour for the company and could easily have been more with more clients. Of course I was getting a fraction of that because they weren't my clients even though I was doing the real work.

How? Is the quality if your link significantly better than the quality of their links?
 
It just comes down to relevance. You might spend a few hours trying to get one link, or spend a lot of money on one but you've got to be absolutely sure that if you spend the money you'll get a significant boost in ranking. You just don't rank for competitive terms with articles and directory links.

That didn't answer my question of how one link you get is better than thousands that they get?
