Money DOESN'T buy everything..

It's not really about money man. I mean, haven't you been in that situation where you never really knew the value of a $1? When you couldn't care less that orange juice at XYZ store was $5 more than orange juice at Walmart, so you bought it?

Then when you got older you had to work for a living and realized how much stuff actually cost. I remember shrugging when friends or classmates said they couldn't hang out because they didn't have $20 or $10. And I wondered why such a petty amount mattered. LOL NOW I KNOW. I feel so embarrassed about those times...

Rich people are bored. They don't have financial problems and if they grew up rich, chances are they don't know the value of a dollar. Without a struggle, people find other things to amuse themselves with to try to find a challenge.

People who need money constantly are consumed with needing to make money, so they aren't bored and are always in survival mode or stress mode. Rich people aren't struggling, so they don't have to worry about anything -- that emptiness gets to them and money can't take that away.

You'll see it for yourself when you make a comfortable income and don't need to worry about money... you'll realize you need something else to fill the void of not struggling.

I dunno, I value an eight-figure bank account before good friends and family. If I was 18 and had an eight-figure bank account, I could spend the next 4 years scouring the world with unlimited time to find loyal and fun friends. There are billions of humans on the planet, your chances of not finding a friend that's a keeper are probably the same as winning the lottery.

But for health, I probably would trade the bank account for superb health 4 life. Even if you're a bazillionaire, illness can take that away fast af.
 
I haven't read the thread and I sure somebody has already said the same thing but although money doesn't buy everything it will make your life easier in any given situation.
Better to have money and be miserable than broke and miserable. Money gives you options.

Money gives you access to better education, more time to improve yourself, access to different places, etc. You can even help other people better if you're not broke. Being poor, your life will consist of breaking your back on some shitty job and trying to find some leisure time here and there.

Still will love to see for myself if it doesn't buy everything, because through the eyes of a poor man EVERY rich person can buy anything.
Stuff that rich people buy, education, happiness, health, etc.
Like other user said, you got options with money.

Priorities change when you get what you need. You might have an expensive house and yet be more stressed out than when you ate 3 ramen a day. Having more funds often translates into more headache of where to put them so that you don't wake up broke one day.

I would define happiness as my social security and social security of closest people around me. Woking minimal wage overtime has never made anyone happy, so "Money doesn't buy happinness" is a poor excuse for people who haven't achieved anything beyond the usual "house, mortgage, wife, two kids and a KIA" (may be different depending on your region).

In my opinion, being happy is being sure that you and your family can live a good life without worrying about "making ends meet". Providing your children with a good education, giving them opportunities and things (including material things) that you mightn't have had. And what does this often mean? Money.
 
It's simple...Money buys you access...it's what you do with this access that determine happiness or fulfillment.....but money can't buy access for things that don't value your money. Same as; "How do you threaten someone that's not afraid to die?"

I've met quite a bit of rich people (most of them self made) and rich people on average work way way way harder than the average poor people I know. Super rich people who didn't inherit it are just wired differently than most people. When most people get $10 mil in the bank, they stop working so hard and start snorting coke off a supermodel's ass in Tahiti or something equally outlandish. But the super rich keep plugging along. And if you have $50 mil in your bank and find yourself bored, you have no imagination at all.
 
i know multi millionaires who inherited their fortunes who are bored and unhappy, i also know multi millionaires who had nothing and built businesses who are happy and contented, a lot of them spend time on charity boards and spend their time giving back. Having lots of money means you could a security to give something back as you don't spend 14 hrs a day trying to make a living

I can relate to that too much, even though I'm not strugling to survive I spend most of my time working and even when I'm not on PC I'm thinking of new methods and stuff to try out. If I suddenly became rich it would take me a long time to adjust to it.
 
I agree with the moderator health is very important than money when youre young you don't understant it,so here is somthing you can not buy with money and love of cource, jeasus said no rich man will acces paradise wy he sayd it? xaaxxaxa i am geting boring here or what?

If there is a lack in any of them you will feel unhappy to some extents. The bigger the problem in any of the elements, the more unhappy you will be. While earning 10K per month will provide me with great lifestyle. There is a point when money doesn't matter. I don't think someone earning 100K per month has a different lifestyle than someone earning 1 Million.

Hence, money is a mean, not an end. Money in itself doesn't hold a value. The value in using it to secure yourself and your family. As long as you have enough money to do that then its better to focus on something else or another element like spending more time with your children.

I feel really sorry for those who spend their time gathering a lot of money. And they have a damaged family or don't have family at all.

I am not talking nonsense or making conclusions. I left many opportunities to make huge amounts of money cuz I found it will take time more than I am willing to give. If I am earning enough to provide my family with good lifestyle, I rather spend my time with them than gathering more and more money.

Fancy Cars, Big Houses, Women ...etc. Read the forum, all the people I know when they made their first big cash they tried it all. Now, although they are making more, they are okay with having nice house, 1 good car (not super car), travel once or twice a year and that is it. When you try shiny stuff, you will know it's not really like it seems.

So, my conclusion, Money is very important, but it's not the most important key to happiness.

He didn't say that, he said it's much harder for a rich man to enter heaven than a poor man because a rich man tends to be attached to his possessions; not serving god.
 
What I’m going to say may sound crazy but its true as it’s been going on since the beginning of time. Everything is for sale to one extent or another, from the job a person has to interview for (selling yourself), to the girl who refuses to date poor people.

Just looking at the world’s oldest profession of prostitution it gives an ideal to the fact that people who would have otherwise chosen to do something different can be persuaded after reaching a tipping point.

All in all it may not bring absolute happiness but it can sure as hell ease a lot of the average stressors in comparison to that of a person without money.
 
money and all your wealth is no more valuable than a glass of water.
 
A million dollars can't buy everything.

A billion dollars can buy almost anything including life and death.
