Monetizing SIM card numbers?

If I was running a 4G proxy farm, I would have a bunch of SIM cards with inbound SMS functionality.

Could I monetise this by creating a clone of one of the many services you see online?

Are any real legal risks to this?

Is there a demand for this kind of thing? Is something people would like to get exclusive access to, kind of thing?

There's always someone here looking for this kind of stuff to create accounts,
I wonder if renting out the proxies alone and staying away from the SMS side of things could save you a legal headache?

especially because of where we are(Ireland), but as the great btb once said

cease and desist is only a problem if you don't cease and desist.
 
It's beyond me how your account is still switching

I wonder how many people have been banned with little reason due to that...

@password01 @paddy_proxies regardless, you could definitely profit around 30 quid a month per SIM that route... Don't really see anything wrong with that as a revenue stream

And it keeps it simpler as you said mate, and safer - just moderate

What's the problem with this? Before I created this account, I messaged the admins and got their blessing, provided I don't do anything untoward with the accounts.

@BassTrackerBoats what problem is Nathan talking about? People using multiple accounts? Do you want help with that, linking peoples accounts?

@CPANathan do you mean 30 bucks a month for the SMS stuff? I think I will see about developing that as a product.. I definitely think there could be a use in that. Although I do know that GSM gateways are pretty illegal in Ireland, for voice calls anyway.. I would assume that SMS might be in scope of that law too, so it might actually be a non runner.

ireland are more serious on gdpr and that than europe cause the nannies keep getting fleased

I'm sure BTB deleted password01 and pushed to pproxies, that's crazy

rather than renting them out, if you've got everything sorted you could farm reddit, quora, accounts etc.

even more income...

im sure you could run an account creation script alongside your farm, account creation actually isnt hard

Interesting never heard of this business model before.
 
There's strong demand for real SIM-based SMS services, especially for verifications. Offering exclusive access adds value. Legal risks exist if users misuse numbers, so monitoring and clear terms are important to avoid blacklisting or liability..

Hey i just saw this now, so do you have a service renting sim numbers or something similar where a number could be used for sms verfication
 
The demand for private numbers is massive because public SMS sites are already burned to the ground. If you offer exclusive access for Telegram or WhatsApp you can charge a premium and still have a waiting list
 
You can surely monetize it for additional income, if you set it up properly it can be used for SMS verifications & different services signups, spoof, and many more.
 
You can also run some apps in the background that will pay for the access. Sell your data and bandwidth. Earnapp for example will pay a small amount for excess bandwidth.

Yes I was thinking same for UK but proxies as for now are not a problem at least not for now.

In UK they seem to target mass SMS campaign with SIM farm
 
Demand definitely exists, but it’s also one of the most legally and operationally sensitive areas.
Most services built around SIMs, inbound SMS, or access control operate in a grey zone that depends heavily on jurisdiction, carrier agreements, and how the service is positioned.
