    They say Curiosity killed the cat, But what if it didn't and it just made the cat bank and it lived happily ever after?

    Basically, I was watching a movie with my bf last night on Solarmovie (Movie streaming website solarmovie.is) And we got sidetracked and started brainstorming ways to monetize uploading videos. Which i'm almost certain people do or why else would you waste time uploading videos (Don't say it's for the benefit of people who want to watch them, because we've all been here long enough to know that's not the case).

    So basically, We brainstormed a few solid ideas, Which i'm fairly keen to test out. However i'd be really interested to hear from some people who've done this. I only have a couple questions.

    A few things i'm concerned about, Would be;

    A) Uploading movies is a big fat no according to the law (Which I mean, Isn't my problem) So how would you upscale this without heat. Obviously, VPN's are a thing, But is that enough. (Again anyone who's had experience in this, Raise your hands now).

    B) How does the upvote work on Solarmovie, Is it something you could buy? Is it something you could do yourself? Is there a trick to it? Could I pay someone to do it? Because clearly your link would need to be on the first page for you to get enough traffic for it to be even worth your time.

    C) How would you go about pasting an add on the front of your video (If you go the website open a movie, Turn your adblock off first gentlemen, You'll see most of them have like, Ads that you need to close to get to the movie). How would you go about putting them onto your movie, Maybe solarmovie has an option for that, I'll look into it too.

    D) Would the conversion rate even be something I could party with. It's a popular website, There's alot of traffic on there, We crunched some numbers and even a not so upscaled version (Given that you got like 5k plus viewers a day) Which would be easy peezy if you knew how to rate your videos to the front page.

    I'm pretty keen to start testing this, I just want to know more about it. Anyone who's had experience in this, I'm open to warnings, Suggestions or anything you want to offer in regards to this really.
    I'm keen to pick someones brain if you want to add me on skype or comment. I'd appreciate the help c:

    Well what I did, and what solves most of your problems, is just put an iframe around content from another site and put a disclaimer in your site somewhere stating exactly that.
    Obviously it's not 100% safe, but a LOT safer than uploading yourself (if you have no proxies and leave footprints).

    Proxies would be enough to cover your butt on this though? (I mean obviously it's not like a sure fire thing, But in reality i'm not planning on upscaling this to the point of attracting megaupload type heat to myself) If so that's easy, I'll hang up that concern. I've heard some horror stories about them cracking down on torrent uploaders though. I'm pretty sure these stream sites go hand in hand with that.

    seems like a lot of work for something that gets shut down (content wise)

    my content gets only 'shut down' when people don't watch so the video player hosting deletes it
