I have some experience with technology, though my SEO knowledge is still developing. I know there's potential in selling domains, but I'm curious about the amount of traffic (daily or monthly) that makes a domain attractive to buyers?
I'm thinking of creating a few WordPress sites on different domains, focusing on SEO over the course of a few months, and eventually selling them. However, I'm not sure how many visitors per day or month would be required to make the domains marketable, or what price range I can expect.
Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated
Let me share my experience with this kind of project, may be it help you a bit to understand what you are planning and going to execute it further.
So initially my plan was to make at least $1 per day with my network of sites , i purchased near 500 domains, end goal to make network of 10k domains which are producing some kind of income daily with content only.
Traffic source could be anything, i know how to make profit with paid ads, or even seo traffic can be generate on these blogs.
content part was done by AI tools like chatgpt, claude, perplexty etc.
everything was going fine, like content creation, website setup other basic stuff but major problem come on adsense approval issue, as two three times they deny for low value content issue, even if you are using quality content,
later i found, its all about chatgpt prompts like what you input and how you make your prompt, now i know how to get quality human like content produce by chatgpt.
so approval issue can be take care too. but one day they blocked one of my site for invalid traffic (where no paid traffic was used still i got the generic mail which they sent for ban) i appealed for it, they rejected , i did second level appeal, they rejected again, then on third level apeal they said i cant make consicutive appeal so i need to wait for third apeal.
so i waited like i didnt remeber exact time frame but it was near 60-90 days then i appealed again. on 2-5 sept i filed this third level appeal (i didnt rember exact dates) but as of now no response came.
apart from this one of my youtube legit channel was linked with this adsense account, so that disabled too where my channel was fully monetised with 2800+ targeted subscribers and i got paid from this channel too.
so in short, i lost youtube channel, my sites got stuck in between as adsense account is shut down.
so here is my advice, when you go for this kind of project: make sure you have multiple monetisation sources, in my case i recovered my losses as i am in domain parking business, so i can recover my cost and more over i can make money with domains only. Adsense was my diversification of business experiment but i think domain parking is best for me
(which already making $100-$500 per day with less efforts compare to website development i was doing with my team.)
so before going full flow, consider all this negative side too, like what will happen if things go against your plan, how you will recover , you must think and plan things accordingly, one side planning can dry your funds and eat up your time too and Frustration will be additional gift for this process (In case things dont go as per plan which happen most of time as this is how every business build)
