Monetizing B2B platform (the free tier)

    I need some insight as to what would be the best options to monetize the free tier of our upcoming B2B platform (stock inventory, invoicing, CRM).

    We are about to get a larger free tier and the only way to monetize it for now is some kind of ads or affiliate-based links. This will generate a lot of pageloads each day, however monetizing it is rather tricky.


    1. What affiliate platform would you recommend? I have accounts with Clickbank and CJ, never used them much but they are usable. Also categories - like Business / Investing?

    2. Banner ads like Sitescout etc - would this work?

    3. Is it worth accepting users from developing countries like India for example, where income is small? Can this generate affiliate purchases from your experience? (banner ad revenue would be very small - so it's probably not applicable in this case)

    One important comment here is that we can't use contextual ads (like Google Adsense), because this would mean sending the users' data to advertiser servers, which is not allowed in our case (it's business data and private).
