Monetization - Which method is best?

So here are three ways I am thinking of monetizing a channel (for the sake of this discussion lets say is it a Joe Rogan style video podcast).
Does anyone know which would be better?

Method 1) Go the classic YouTube route (4k watch hours, subs and then apply for monetization)

Method 2) Go the Distro route (for example with distrokid). Submit the audio to distrokid, then wait and upload to YouTube with video (without applying for channel monetization). That way you have it on Spotify, etc. and if someone copies the content youtube catches it and monetizes for you.

Method 3) A mix of both. First upload to distro, then to YouTube with channel monetization.

No botting involved in any method above (except for the initial monetization requirements for YouTube).

The audio track of the video (basically a podcast)
I know distrokid does not accept podcasts, I would need a different distro (I just used them as an example, because most people on this forum know them and I am still looking for a distro for podcasts - maybe someone knows a good one that is similar to distrokid).

Why only focus on earning ad revenue from monetization? YouTube has so much traffic, and is one of the most popular search engines out there. Why not use it to the fullest?

Personally, I would combine the two, monetization (ad revenue from YT) and driving sales/leads on my own website, and rank videos around a niche I'm familiar with. For example, if you rank in top 3 on a keyword with 1k+/mo. searches, that's organic traffic to your video and website, for as long as it stays ranked.

That's just my thoughts, personally, this is the fastest way to grow, and gain more engaged subscribers etc.

I monetize my site with Adskeeper. I placed advertising on my streaming site and get money from that.

It will not work for all niches.
