Mods review on sales thread

Yeah I think my infraction given by him should be removed. Because let's be honest, any old retard that he was pimping his mod account out could have give me that infraction.

Getting back to the point of this thread - BB was a valued mod for a significant amount of time. Any marketplace threads that were considered "damaged goods" were removed or re-evaluated during his review process. Any that we missed should be reported in the Shit List section keeping in line with the SL Rules and procedures

I Know Seo - every single service is excellent for him, it can't be true.
1. That's simply not true.
2. Why would I approve bad threads?...

If you have an idea on how to be more detailed during the review process or if you think I've missed something feel free to share.

Don't you think very old sales threads approved by Bigbuddy should be reevaluated? To see if they are still delivering service accordingly to description?

I like Apricot reviewing and approving sales threads, honest and detailed.

I Know Seo - every single service is excellent for him, it can't be true.

I could continue to dig out others but I've got a few other things on my plate but if you are going to make a statement that sounds as it a Moderator is not being accurate when reviewing threads be sure that you can back that up with facts.

Exactly this - I've had numerous complaints from sellers that @I know SEO has given them a harsh review, or rejected their service "unfairly". On investigation, the reviews or decisions have always been justified but no-one wants a bad or mediocre review. We reject more services than we approve and I can absolutely confirm that @I know SEO does not give anyone an easy ride.

What difference does it make if a mod tests a service in the beginning of a bst? Any idiot can give a mod a great service (better content, links etc.) and then slack off the quality thereafter. Now if there was an additional test after the thread is opened, but from a dummy account, I think sellers would constantly put forth good quality this forum deserves - knowing that any order could be a mod testing them.

You figure with as much money as this forum raises, having a mod retest a service again shouldn't be that big of a hassle.

This is something we're implementing in several steps. We've had lots of threads that were reviewed and approved years ago but the sellers have disappeared and they stayed open but dormant. Years ago, we set a yearly renewal fee for the thread to ensure that the seller was still invested in providing the service. However, this was often ignored and didn't fix the problem so, last November, this became enforced automatically. So now, if a seller doesn't actively opt-in to renew the thread, it'll be automatically closed by default. Once we've refined this, we'll be integrating a re-review process into the yearly renewals.

So, instead of one review before the thread's approved, every year the seller will need to prove that they're able to offer their service to the same standards as the original review. In it's final form, the yearly review will include a reappraisal of the service but we'll also be looking at the sales thread for fake reviews, negative feedback, complaints, SL's and the support provided by the seller and how well they deal with issues.

It's a monumental task so it's not going to happen overnight. We've got a couple of thousand active Marketplace threads and over 800,000 users. This means every step needs to be planned, tested and implemented, then debugged so that we can make sure no-one's negatively impacted before we build more features onto it. On top of that, the new, stricter review process means that even a straightforward service can take a mod about 8-10 hours in total to review (not including the back-and-forth with the seller: waiting for review samples, documentation, downloads, issues with the sales copy, rewrites etc.)

I Know Seo - every single service is excellent for him, it can't be true.

I also would like to know where this information is coming from??

Ok if the service being reviewed is a simple basic service then not more can be said about it but I have seen plenty of threads for content writing and many others that @I know SEO leaves a pretty detailed review of the sample service, possibly over and above what would be required actually.

OP you have no clue how many times i have to verify my own network with @I know SEO for approving my services. And how big explanation i wrote to him to clarify all the facts few times. Even the first time he approved my service and 2 days later he removed it. Also gave me infraction. It was my fault but you cant imagine how he point out my mistake from a single line of note. I wish i can share it so that you can understand how easy to deal with him while on the review process. :D:D

With all due respect to the mods of course, are you as a buyer looking at only ONE review while buying service? It's just not reliable enough. It's like just a part of the game, for sellers to allow to enter the marketplace, that's all.

Personally, as a buyer I am looking at mods words and weight it in like let's say 10-15 user reviews as it does carry more value (after reading between the lines). After that I'm always looking for real user experience with the sellers (not bots, review masters, etc...) and I do communicate with sellers if I have any doubts or concerns and see where it takes us further.

Also, BHW is business as well as community, don't forget that fact, read between the lines. It's all said almost in 99% of the reviews posted by mods.

It's also being said numerous times before, we only see threads approved. What's with the dozens that do not even pass 1st quality check? It's just not easy task as it seems.

Lots of buyers here don't know how many hoops we expect our sellers to jump through nowadays. :D We don't make it easy for anyone so getting complaints from sellers about us being too picky, unfair or asking too many questions just means that we're doing something right.

If it's of interest, I did post something a couple of years ago about the marketplace approval process here: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/m...or-how-to-make-marketplace-mods-happy.809157/

It's a little out of date now but still covers the fundamentals. If it'd be useful, I can post an updated version showing exactly what we're looking for and what we use to make a judgement on whether a service is approved or rejected. From our point of view, the review process should be as open and transparent as possible. It's not arbitrary or secret and the same criteria and standards are expected of every person, regardless of whether they're a mod, an enterprise member, an advertiser or a brand new Jr VIP.

I completely agreed with this part. No need to make it easy for anyone. This is how we can grow and improve the marketplace for better output :-)
