If I used mobile broadband and also used a vpn provider am i safe in thinking i am anonymous online? The mobile broadband basically has an ip that is shared by a few people i think and on top of this if i buy a vpn then i should be completely anonymous online, what do you think?

It depends on what you mean by anonymous. Anonymous to who and what for?

Once again it depends on what you're doing and who the end user is. You could use a simple proxy and you could be anonymous or you could use a highly encrypted SSL VPN and be easily tracked down. Remember that every hardware out there that connects to the Internet has a physical MAC address.

PS. Business & Tax Advice is the wrong section for these kind of questions. ;)

why would you say that i would be more easily traceable using a secure vpn against a simple proxy or are you just giving this as an example. I know about mac spoofing javascripts cookies etc. All these areas have been covered. BAsically i am opening a grey area business and dont want anyone to be able to connect me when I am using the internet over the vpn.what do you think?
ps:which section should this be posted in?
