Monero very successfully announced a hard fork - it will take place a few days after the US Treasury began the hunt for mixers. This time, Tornado Cash and its associated wallets suffered.

Even those who doubted the need to keep protected tokens in the portfolio will surely reconsider their position. Which is good for Monero, which will grow even faster against BTC and, judging by the trends, will break $200 no later than the end of August on the wave of expectations and the desire to remain anonymous.

Monero is too old. Each bull run we’ve got new stars and old stars are still growing with all market for a bit, but do you believe that market still need smth like monero or ripple ?

Monero has privacy and private addresses what bitcoin should of been.Do you want your transactions for the whole world to see?
Correct, and what is arguably even more important than privacy is fungibility, which is only possible with a privacy coin. Because of the fact that no XMR coin ever carries a history, they cannot be discriminated against. It doesn't matter if Putin or Kim Jong Un gave you that XMR; you can still sell it on binance with no issues which is essential for any currency to succeed. If Putin gives you a bitcoin, it will be called a dirty coin and Coinbase/Binance/Gemini will freeze your account (and probably report you to the FBI where you will end up on a terrorist watchlist).

No doubt about it. However, I will make a bold statement : Unfortunately, most of the people would not understand it, because they do not know the uniqueness of Monero : Monero transactions are not traceable : Monero has a non-traceable transaction history. Now, just watch .... It will be a funny phenomena with some "wise" people disputing this.
Ofcourse, if someone does not know how to take the benefit of Monero's untraceability and does somethng stupid like if you're not careful about the wallet you pick, you risk compromising your privacy by exposing your IP address, or making it possible to link your Monero wallet to an account on an exchange, then that is another story (a story of stupidity while trying to remain "anonymous" and "private").
Ciphertrace claimed to have a tool to trace Monero transactions, the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) hired it, crypto intelligence firm Chainalysis Inc. and data forensics firm Integra Fec LLC to provide tools to track Monero transactions, they all failed in their attempts.

If people are smart they don't need exchanges at all KYC is bullshit.Nothing beats bartering all you got to do trade for cash if you got bills to pay.

Then why is monero not as popular as bitcoin ?

Maybe someday monero will get better place in crypto world but now still far behind.

XMR has to be a nightmare for governments to track then. Normally they will crack down hard on such.....except maybe they have a secret backdoor to XMR tracking..

The mainstream media don't openly talk about monero
The only time the mainstream media talks about XMR is when it's about buying drugs or whatever illegal product from the dark web. BTC used to be the same way years ago. Common people only knew of it in that context. But by now people have opened up to bitcoin.
