Minimal traffic even after 100 posts

Hi, I need suggestions regarding my blog. I want to monetize it with Ezoic. I have over 100 blog posts targeting low-difficulty keywords. It's been around 6 months, and I'm getting only 30 visitors per day and about 900 to 1000 a month and 50% of that is from bing, duck duck go and yahoo. What am I missing out on?

It could be any of these:

- poor content optimization
- targeting tough keywords
- blog posts not indexed
- poor site structure and internal linking
- competitive niche

These would be my guesses...

Probably low authority/power behind it and/or content not being the best quality.

Or maybe individual content pieces are good, just don't fit well together.

In summary, you are missing out on your SEO STRATEGY

Or should ask you how you are getting 900-1000 visitors per month?

Analyze Ezoic’s data to understand which content performs best and adjust your strategy.

Use GSC to update content. Proper internal link articles and make a topical authority around the niche.

Are you using a sitemap and indexer for your blog?
And what SEO plugin are you using?

First , you will have to do seo for website. You have to rank for related keywords and then traffic will increase. Only then networks like Ezoic will accept you .

You need traffic from Google. 99% of internet users are using google for searches and thus your focus should be to rank on google only.

You are still getting 500 page views per month from Google which is not bad. You have to scale your seo efforts which will then increase your traffic.

Exactly. Stark working specifically with Google and use the Google search console.

Are all your post indexed ?
Look for it and get the search console result to optimize low hanging fruit keyword.

optimized your content ,fix on pages off pages, creating high quality backlink . I think its can help you increasing traffic

Blogging is all about authority now, especially after latest updates.

I agree with you on the fact that it is all about authority. But again, I think you are missing out on the fact that blogging still works IFF done right. Although, it is taking longer than ever to secure rankings. Saying blogging is dead is a blanket statement and should be avoided. Again, this is just my thought process.

Blogging is dead though. Unless you want to wait 5 years to get that authority, and even then chances are Google will kill you before then. Have you seen the SERPS? It's all authority sites. You cannot compete. And if you do it will be short lived.

Google want to kill SEO. They want to kill niche sites that want to make an income.They want to kill sites that use keyword research for LTKW's.

Unless you're an actual business you are on a hiding to nothing.

And guess what? Google's UGC that will be rolled out to the extreme soon will make it worse.

Then it is a scary scenario for people like me who provide content writing and SEO services to clients. But what you saying does make sense in a way. Anyway, thanks for your insights. But one question though, what should people like me do to prepare for this kind of a scenario? Any ideas or suggestions you can give me?

Try to build back links. I would do something like T1 for blogspot , guest posts ..you can find them on here and cheap on FB groups, some quality link blast on GSA . As second tier you can with articles, forum , micro logs type back links with GSA. However if you are new and no clue just use it slowly. don't build direcly GSA to money sites if you are not sure what you are doing. never build lot of links at once

I might be completely wrong, but I don't think I am. Google is a mess, and it's only going to get worse. They are full of contradictories as well and their guidelines are hypocritical and right now I don't think they know what they are doing.

With that said, I have no idea how to answer your question. Content writing will always be viable I think, especially for businesses and big brands.

SEO is a tough one. I honestly believe SEO will be non existent in one way soon, but in another way, it won't be. That makes no sense I know, but I really feel strongly Google want to kill off SEO and writing for search engines, such as keyword research for example.

As I say, I am not sure they know how to do that really, except to just rank big brands and domains that they think is more trustworthy, especially with AI content being churned out by the second. Which is what they have done with the recent update(s).

And with user generated content being rolled out by Google, to go along with all the ads Google shows and YT videos, it's a long hard battle for blogs. Thats why i think it is dead. I would never start a new blog now unless something changes.

Content is not king, authority is.

You can rank bad content on an authoritative site, but you cannot rank good content on a non authoritative site. And by rank, I mean top 5.

I bet a lot of sites who have been crushed recently if they posted the same articles on Reddit, would rank. But on there sites, Google have crushed them as unhelpful.

The playing field has changed completely.

Google is only about authority now. Can you get that authority from a new blog? Sure, but you better be a business with good trust signals/reviews and not just an informational site, and be prepared to wait a long time.

Just my opinion/thoughts, but Google are a mess. The contradictions in what they say prove to me they don't know what to do right now.
