Hi! First of all I am very familiar with making money online but it was all from YouTube.. Anyways. In this thread I want to ask and discuss about micro niche sites. I know ranking depend on a lot of things. And each day I learn more thx to BHW. What would be the minimum $ to rank a low competition keyword with just services purchased from BHW? I am thinking of using AdSense?
That's a tough question since many things you stated are relative. From my perspective I would say 300-500$. Keep in mind that this is completely subjective.
I don't think $300-$500 is required if you keep costs at a minimum. I personally am ranking around #10-#15 with $60 or so invested into PBN sites. OP, I suggest that you build your own PBN network instead of purchasing from the marketplace, as you can keep track of what websites you link to and make sure the juice doesn't go everywhere, but to your sites only. It'll be cheaper in the long run too.
I got my first sale a few days ago, and I'm getting a few clicks everyday. It's not the #10-15 ranking that brings in the dough, but probably my long tails. Once I reach #1 for my main keyword, I'll definitly make money off of that, but I'll make a lot of my money from longtails too. I'm doing this for Amazon Affiliate sites, because I think it was a better ROI, since you get more for each visit.
Congrats on the sale. I can't really decide what product to promote. How did you select your product?
I asked around and eventually bought a small keyword package for $4. Thing is, these keywords are TRASH. I don't directly use the keyword they give me, but expand on it and think that the keyword they gave me is a foundation in which I build upon it. I use keyword tools like longtailpro cloud to expand on the keyword and find the nuggets on which I build onto. Do you understand?
Yes I understand. I did longtail targeting for my yt videos and they did rank #1. Hope I can do it on google as well. Thanks again.
Yea, that's why I said, "my site is ranking #10-#15 with $60, and never said anything about the word "low" competition. For me, low competition may be pinterest, youtube videos on homepage, and for others, low competition may be other affiliate websites on the homepage. As you said, it is very subjective, and I was just stating it from my point of view.
I think it is clear now. It was not meant offensive. Now back to the topic. You stated 60$ to rank #10-15 in your case. I meant 300-500$ for Top 5. I would be curious how much you would have to pay to get into top 5.
What I usually do is starting with a free links: Reddit, Youtube, Vimeo, Daily Motion, Slideshare, inbound, Twitter, Facebook, G+, Quora - First Week. Put some more links from This websites on a second week, add some links from StumbleUpon, Linkedin, Stackoverflow, Imfaceplate. Third Week go to blog comments and forums and try to add some links to your website plus get as more Social Signals as you can. Fourth week add your blog to Alltop, Blogorama and other blog aggregators and get more social signals, and from Q&A websites. On a fifth week you can start thinking about buying links from services. Don't buy anything on Fiverr and don't think that you can buy good links for 10$. Invest some time and money and create a small PBN. Believe me it worth it.
Yes, having your own PBN network is better and cheaper way to start. It would initially cost around $100 for some decent metrics sites. But, as the budget is low so don't expect 100 sites in your network. You may own 6- 8 sites in your network but definitely give you results.
