I have not seen anyone post about this method before. It may be that I am the only one who knows about it.

I used this method with hostgator affiliate signups. It may or may not work with other affiliates. I'm guessing it is only going to work with them, but who knows. Try it out.

If you don't know how the hostgator affiliate program works:
It starts out at $50 a signup and goes up to $125 a signup. So, if you are getting 1 signup a day you are making $125 a day. Pretty nice income. The cool part is you can earn this money if someone simply uses one of your coupon codes. (more on this later)

First you will need to signup for their affiliate program:
Non-Referral Link: https://www.hostgator.com/affiliates

How to do this without spending a single penny or making a website:
Remember that coupon code? All we need to do is simply get people to sign up using it. It is actually pretty easy since the coupons either give 25% off their order, or they can just get their first money for $0.01. Lots of people prefer this one.

So there are two options:
A:
Put in a lot of time and work building up websites, ranking them, creating social media, posting on forums, and more.
B: Snipe someone else's coupon codes.

What do you mean..snipe?
It is really simple. You search google for hostgator coupon codes..preferably ones on older forums with lots of views. You then write down all the codes you can find.
The money maker: enter these codes into your hostgator affiliate dashboard on the "manage coupon" section.
One of two things will happen. It will tell you that the code is already in use, or it will add the code to your list of coupons. If it adds the coupon..congrats you have just made money (usually).

So what is happening?
When it allows you to add a coupon code, the person who was using those has either deleted that code, or their account was deleted.
The cool part: Due to how hostgator tracks things, you can SEE how many signups that code has gotten in its lifetime. The best one I have found had around 40 commissions earned.
By simply adding that coupon code that was no longer being used to my affiliate account, I have made around $600.

Don't feel bad about sniping either. The websites that these coupon codes are listed on are basically invalid. You are making them valid again. You are actually doing a good service to all the websites that have these coupons listed, and the people searching for them.

Bonus Twist:
1. Learn how to use google search. Once you find ONE coupon that works, you should be able to find several.
2. Find all the old forum posts with your coupon code listed, make an account and bump the post saying thanks for the code and that it worked.
3. When someone signs up for your coupon you can actually see the domain name of who signed up. If that person has a poor looking website or is taking a while to build a site, try to do a /whois domain search to get their contact info and offer them website building/SEO services. Most of the time they are not private on the /whois because they just wanted to pay a penny to get their hosting.

Enjoy.

Are you doing an average of 1 a day? If you are, get in touch, I get a custom CPA and could work out a deal to make you more money.

Sounds interesing, definetly will give a try! Thanks

How to fill tax information if i live outside us. It is asking for my foreign tax id, whats that?
And how difficult is it to get in

Hi,

I really liked your method and would like to give it a try but I'm having problem with new dashboard in Hostgator. Do you have the older version or the new one?

I have the new dashboard one and can't find where to add custom coupon codes, I'm afraid that there is no longer such option...

"I have made around $600" in what amount of time? and just curious.. why would you tell everyone here if your making money?

Sorry, not sure I follow this. Just adding coupon code to your account, how do you make $600.

You still need people to sign up with your coupon code. People need to find your coupon code, how do you get people to use these "sniped" coupon codes? Am I missing something here? You still need to put these "sniped" coupon in front of people so they can use these codes.

Thanks

Lol you're also from 2007! He says to use these "snapped coupons" only if the page is still receiving some kind of traffic. And it is aslong you find it easily on google or something else but anyway it'll be saturated soon, don't even try it imho.

The current hostgator dashboard does not have( "manage coupon" section.)

You're real scavenger like hyena. Few other aff programs work similar to this, so if you know which are those, you surely get along more miles past hostgator.

But, these hosts shave like hell. But good one.

How much are you making if it's not a secret.

Don't complain. I'm not using this anymore as it isn't as predictable as it could be and I just don't have the time.
It is nice getting a couple extra $$$ a month in the mail without doing anything though.

Just a way to think outside the box.

Not sure about the new dashboard. Mine still has the manage coupons section. Find a similar section I guess?

This. What the hell is a W-8 form, says its for the IRS, but I'm not from the US and I don't have a business

your domestic tax ID what you use in your country, if you have any, if don't, i guess you can leave that box empty or even if you have one, i never put my tax id on the form before and it wasn't problem, however i see that the IRS revised the document a bit, since i filled out one last time

And how difficult is it to get in
get into where? hostgator doesn't have an approval process, you register as an affiliate and you're good to go

This. What the hell is a W-8 form, says its for the IRS, but I'm not from the US and I don't have a business
not sure which W-8 form are you exactly talking about, but you should fill out the W-8BEN
"Certificate of Foreign Status of Beneficial Owner for United States Tax Withholding and Reporting (Individuals)"
that one is for foreign individuals
instructions

that's what you're required to fill out to be able to get paid by a US company as a foreign affiliate/publisher, if you earn more than the $600 reporting threshold in a tax year

Ok so i checked this method and i did find 2 codes that successfully added to my account. Problem is, there are no commissions. But the sites/videos which i found them on are still active so it's possible i can get a sign up without having to create vids/sites. Cool.

Man you gonna loss money. Bcoz it's now public & you will not find any codes. Or you already booked all good codes before you published it.

Honeybird it HAS approval proccess "Thank you for applying as a partner of HostGator.com. Your application will be reviewed and processed as soon as possible. When we have completed the processing, you will receive a confirmation about your application status."

I can only have a max of 10 codes at once, and I'm not going through the pain of trying to create multiple accounts with different tax IDs and whatnot. I'm maxed out. Stop complaining i'm trying to share something.

Thanks, glad to see someone got use of it!

Has anyone else managed to add a coupon code to their dashboard? There doesn't seem to be an option for it on my account.
