    USING HASHTAGS FOR INSANE AUTOMATED GROWTH

    What’s up guys? There are some incredible tools and resources here on the forum that I want to help you use from start to finish and kind of put the pieces of the puzzle together. Here’s the best part…. I’m a lazy person. Why is that the best part? It’s because the majority of what I’m going to show you and put together is going to be automated…. Even some of the creative stuff! There will still be some manual processes involved, but I’m going to show you at least what I believe is the quickest and simplest way to get started.

    Step 1: Identify a Niche

    First thing first, identify a niche or niches. Whatever your niche may be think of 2-4 hashtags to start. For example, let’s say I’m going to do something in the health and wellness motivation niche. A big hashtag in that niche is gymquote(s) and another one could be flexfriday (just pulling those two out). The more you have the more sources you will have in next step.

    Step 2: Collect some hashtag data

    Now here is the first automation tool we are going to use and it’s right here on the forum. It’s the python hashtag automation script (tutorial screenshots and video to come). What you want to do is run that script once with ONE HASHTAG. Using one hashtag is important because we are going to generate a list of related hashtags for each hashtag. Then we will have a ton of sources to potentially choose from and test using an automation tool. I use an IDE called PyCharm there is a free version and if you are a student with a .edu email you get JetBrains full suite of products for free.

    Step 3: Sort Hashtags and Identify Hashtag Sources

    Because the python script created an excel file of the related hashtags, we can easily sort them and identify which ones we want to use for sources. You will get some errors like it will say “ERROR” or have a number like 1e99 in the column. I delete those. You will also get some results with funky looking characters. I delete those too. After you have deleted the errors, sort and choose however you see fit. Follow the 3 rules of marketing – test, track and tweak. Test some for a month or so and track it using some tool, then tweak what isn’t working. Now to sort them, highlight the entire first row and click on the “Sort and Filter”>”Filter”

    [IMG]

    [IMG]

    Once you have deleted all the funky ones and sorted the remaining data, the spreadsheet should look cleaner like below

    [IMG]

    Go through the sorted data and pick which hashtags you want to use for targeting and for posts and highlight them (just the hashtags not the other data), copy and paste into a blank cell

    [IMG]

    [IMG]

    [IMG]

    Now you’re ready to quickly add them to your list of hashtags for your posts in FollowPlanner or whatever tool you use.

    Step 4: Add sources to your tracking tool (Personally I use FollowPlanner)

    Now that you have your sources identified, we are going to start using them. All tools should have similar capabilities when it comes to automation and tracking, but a few reasons why I like FollowPlanner are it’s easy to use, provides the data you need and not extra fluff and their support actually responds to requests and inquiries. Login to your tool and add all the hashtags you identified in step 3. I like to create folders for each hashtag and their related hashtags. For this example, if we created two separate lists for gymquote and flexfriday we would create two folders labeled GymQuote Hashtag Sources and FlexFriday Hashtag Sources. I like keeping them separate in case I want to add additional accounts later that may not relate to one or the other so I can quickly (and lazily) add all the sources without worrying about feeling spammy.

    [IMG]

    Step 5 - Warming Your Account Through Interactions

    Obviously to grow your account you are going to want to interact with other users. This is where the hashtag sources come into play. You can either start with the preloaded schedules in your tool or you can create your own. I like tweaking what they already have so it looks a little more like a human is doing the interaction. For instance, FollowPlanner has a warm up schedule that doesn’t have any like action. In my opinion, not many humans who just started an account would only like a post if they follow a person. Now, while warming up the account I still use the 1-2 punch method described in Ascend Viral, I also add doing regular likes on posts. I also used to do real estate and did cold calls. Otherwise known as the dreaded “LEAD GENERATION”. We did this for at least two maybe three hours a day. There was a point in time I was doing it 8 hours a day… seriously not fun work. Anyway, I would equate this cold-calling type of lead generation to the 1-2 punch method of following. So, what I have currently is 2 hours in the morning for following, 1 hour in the afternoon (lunch hour) for following, 1 hour right before quitting time (so either 4,5 or 6 and I vary these times each day), unfollowing at the end of the day from 8-9 everyday and plain liking in the morning alternating from 5-6 and 6-7 everyday except on weekends where it’s from 7-8. These are my initial warmup settings, as I create a Phase 2 warm up I will update this.

    [IMG]

    Step 6 Part 1 – Scheduling Your Posts

    This is a short section since you are just coordinating your posts with the same time you are doing actions (follow, unfollow, like) with your account. For example, since I have the account to start following at 9, I would schedule my post to go out between 8-9. Maybe even 8:30-9:00. If you’re tool doesn’t allow a range for posts to be sent out like Follow Planner does, make the post go out at a random time instead of consistently sending it out at 7am on the dot every day. Although possible to do, it would be difficult for a human to send it out at the same time every day for ever so a range is best if you can.

    [IMG]

    Step 6 Part 2 – Getting Posts for Your Account

    If you aren’t creative like me, then this is where tools and scrapers really come in handy. There is a python script on the forum that will scrape media for you and grab photos to post and schedule. If you have a tool like FollowPlanner, you can do it from within the app/tool itself taking out one extra step! Now what you want to do is ‘scrape’ Instagram data and choose which posts you want to download and import into your library to use. Personally, I would scrape hashtags and choose posts with a high comment rate. Likes are good and all, but what you really want are commenters who are going to interact with you and possibly tag their friends to see your posts increasing your following.

    [IMG]

    [IMG]

    [IMG]

    [IMG]

    Now you don’t want to just blatantly copy their post word for word. They may have incorrect hashtags and look spammy or your account could get flagged by them or another user as spam. So instead your tool should have a builtin editor that will allow you to edit the post before it’s posted. Here’s a template I like to use with FollowPlanner since I believe it helps protects the accounts from getting blocked or flagged. I’ll include the template with an explanation following the variables afterward.

    {caption:NoTags}

    .

    Credit: @{mediaUsername}

    .

    DM for credit or removal

    .

    {hashtags:13-27}

    Although this is a super simple template, it keeps you in the safe realm of posting. What I mean by that is it won’t look spammy and your hashtags will be guaranteed to be relevant because you already chose relevant hashtags to the post in steps 1-4, and you will be able to tweak and fine tune the hashtags that are in your list as you get more data for your account. Once the media is downloaded and you moved it to your library, it will be added to your queue and be sent out at the next time slot that is available according to your schedule set in the previous step.

    {mediaUsername} - Replaced with the username of the media's uploader (only available if media was scraped or the username was set

    {firstMention} - Replaced with the first account that was mentioned in the original media's caption

    {caption} - Replaced with the posted media's caption, that you can set for each media individually

    {caption:noTags} - Same as {caption} but hashtags are removed from media caption

    {hashtags:10-15} - Replaced with the group's hashtags. After the colon :)) you can specify how many hashtags are inserted

    {emoji:2:❤} - Replaced with hashtags as defined by the two parameters: the first parameter is the number of emojis to get and the second parameter is the set of emojis to choose from.

    Hey there. I don't want to discourage you, but this is not what most of us would want.
    -
    If I want related hashtags of inspiration, they would be: motivation, ambition, etc... But this script would get me only: inspirationalquotes, inspirationquotes, inspiration+[something]...
    -
    Thank you for sharing though. :)

    well you can get a list urself and pick the best hashtag of given wording. so you will have a bunch of "best" keywords. for sure its more work and time consuming
