I'm using Twidium myself, is a bit resource intensive for growing multiple accounts but gets the job done well.

Twitter have changed their system, and this guide no longer works.

I will be getting a new guide written in the next day or two.

What usually happens is when you go to click the follow button, it unhighlights from being green in other words it didn't follow this is an indication to stop right there & not follow anyone.

No mate you cant follow so much per day now a days

Twitter has become really too strict..

I created a legitimate twitter account before a month and connected it to a hight quality authority site. I have followed 50-150 people everyday for 3 weeks then unfollowed 200 per day of them for 3 days. Evey day i was engaging with people starting conversations and helping them. I also had 1000 semi-fake followers from exchange sites.

They banned me right after unfollowing people. When i asked suport why that happened after 1 month of no problems they responded with a generic copy/paste answer that i was "following people aggressively"...and now they would unbann my account if i stopped that.

After that i completely stopped following anyone for 2 weeks because i was very disappointed that after all that hard work they just killed my account for no reason. Before some days i started talking again with people and helping them and tried to follow about ten of them that i already had engaged with in order to be 100% whitehat. Today they banned me again for no reason out of the blue...

Twitter policy is unbelievably ridiculous they don't explain anything (i have read all their TOS and other crap 10 times) and lock accounts without reason or prior notice. Remember i am talking here for a legitimate whitehat business with real info and interactions.

I have send them another email to explain me what the hell they are doing. The thing is that even if they unbann me whats the point on working with twitter if i can't even follow 10 people that i talk to?

I am currently thinking of another approach maybe create alternative accounts and just promote my site through them? But i don't know if they have algorithms that could just find my links (its supposed to be a brand easy to find) and after another month of hard work they could just bann my other account too...

Its really sad because i had the whole processes of promoting my site automated and i could have decent traffic if they let me follow just 100 people per day indefinitely...

What would you do if you where in my position?

I don't mean to derail, but it's on-topic: can anyone actually suggest a good place to purchase a small amount of followers? I literally only need a few k to give my startup a little more credibility. I've already built over the past year to 500 pretty legit-followers, now I just want a little more oomph. I only follow a few hundred people as it is.

My advice is dont waste your time making new twitter accounts, just get in touch with people who are able to provide aged twitter accounts.

Loads of people out there willing to make a bit of money.

Very good post for anyone just coming in to Twitter. I got a warning put on my account in the first week lol. I learned to scale it down a bit but didn't know half of the things you put here so many thanks!

a comment on step three. from me speaking with others and from my own experience i have been able to follow 1000 people a day after achieving 2k followers rather than 5k. My accounts are very active and authentic looking. Are you certain from experience that you need 5k followers to follow 1000 people a day?

i was so happy and excited when i read ur first one, becuase iv had so many accounts suspended, and twitter is the best place for me to get targeted traffic

Yes, great guide. But I'm looking forward to the updated guide that will adhere to the 1.1 API.

i follow close to 1000 everyday and unfollow after 24 hours. i did this starting at around 1500 followers. my total following though was at no point more than my follower count. this worked ok until i reach 7800 followers. then come the tease suspension. i have not touched it for 1 week now.

now i dont know what to do! i dont want to get my account suspended for good, so i am afraid to take any actions. so what do i do? anybody?

the limits and method of using follow/unfollow are rumored to have changed. instead people are mass following using other methods. it would be wise for some people to test the 1000 follow/unfollow with aged accounts
