[Method] Staying within Twitter follow limits

The only official following limit they have is 1,000 per day, but as per my OP you will get suspended if you follow that many immediately. Stick to the guidelines given & you should be ok, since developing this strategy I have only had one account out of 30 suspended - and that was for impersonating an entity rather than aggressive following.

Update
In the past couple of weeks I've noticed a few of my accounts getting suspended at step 1. I successfully tested 30 accounts using the method in the OP, so I think Twitter have recently made some changes at their end. A safe strategy for your first week now appears to be no following on day one, 50 per day for the next 3 days, then 100 per day for the 3 days after that, at which point you can buy yourself some followers. I'll update as I test more accounts.

I've had my personal account for 2 years. I can follow around 2,500+ people a day without a ban hammer.
What usually happens is when you go to click the follow button, it unhighlights from being green in other words it didn't follow this is an indication to stop right there & not follow anyone.
I've been fine up till now I guess you guys are doing it in mass with different accounts but I've learnt long ago (personal experience) Twitter has the junkiest traffic but hey that's just my opinion. good luck!

I'm thinking about following people again. I haven't done so in over 2 years and I used to use Tweet Whistle and Adder when I did... I don't even know if they work anymore because it's been so long.
Which software do you recommend that does everything that you have mentioned a software program should be able to do?
I really like the one feature you mentioned being able to follow people who just recently tweeted within specified time. I don't remember Tweet Adder or Whistle being able to do that.
My account that I'm focusing on gaining mire followers currently has 29.9k followers and I'm filling 3k. Out of the 29.k followers probably 10k are fake. I'm trying to get my real followers quota up.

Excellent guide!!! Thanks a lot! I am using TweetAdder with 21 account and always trying to guess what may lead to suspension... In last November couple of our accounts started to get suspended for unknown reason. With 3-4k followers followed only less than 100 a day. I think as soon as you get suspended you heave to stop all automation and following and wait at least for one month. Then you can start again.

The limit increases as your account starts gaining more authority. For example, if Justin Bieber would like to follow 5k people in one day, he could even do that and Twitter won't still suspend still account since he is now verified and has got his limits increased to a great extent.

I think this is something you're making up, which considering the nature of your business is a silly move. Why would people trust you with their money if you're going to throw false claims out there?

Quite clearly says that the same limits apply to everyone - verified or not.

I always wanted to get some twitter traffic for my sites but never tried it hard enough to be honest..
My problem was always the same, scraping targeted users to follow with my accounts.
I own TweetAdder, but from an account of for example 1 Milion followers, it scrapes about 20K if I am lucky, so after a few days/weeks I need more targeted users lists to add to my follow list.
So my question is, can you tell us what software do you use to scrape targeted users to follow?? are you using Twiddium? I have never used that software before...
Do you know any software able to scrape, if not 100% at least 50% of the followers of a chosen account? Even if account has 1 Milion followers..?

I'm not sure how that's happening then, I have a five year old account with 150k followers & 5k tweets which is still only allowed to follow 1,000 per day, and there is nothing anywhere in Twitter's help files to suggest that limit is increased for some users.
The only exception I know is that the android platform is at present allowing you to follow more than 1k per day, but I'm sure they'll put a stop to that soon enough.

LOL I'm not going to bother working out Twitter's system; if its an aged account, if it has high followers to following ratio I couldn't care less -_- Twitter traffic is junk traffic & any one that wants to make serious money will not spend there time using it I was just telling you that for my personal use on my personal account I can follow 2,500+ once I hit the limit when I click the follow button it unhighlights itself which means no more.
