[Method] Simple $20-$30 daily with CB

I'd like to use this method. But where I come from there are no such services like carfax that offer affiliate programs. It's mainly a U.S. thing. That's why I'd like to modify the method and target other sellers on classified ads sites. I scrolled through the offers of my affiliate net but wasn't able to come up with a applicable solution. May be I'm not creative enough to find a new twist for this solution.

Do you (all, not the op only) have an idea what other products this method could be used for?

People have super saturatedthis you have no idea. Im sure it doesnt work for them anyways. People auto text message you with the link, ive sold over 5+ cars in the past 8 months, and im sure i got more then on of those texts for all 5 cars. (i lsit them on cl)

having trouble with the link part.. I shortned my HOP through owly and when I send it to them they are telling me the link isnt working, but when I send it to my self it works fine. Can you break down how to do the link part. Thanks in advnace

I don't see why someone would want a refund for a vin audit
gotta remember this is just an idea. maybe this exact method will work for you, but best results will come from putting your own spin on it.

Went out and tested this method myself. It was a small test but it did shed a lot of light on just how effective it would be. So here's what I did:

1. Created a cloaked affiliate link for VinAudit using a generic site.

2. Created a brand new email using an older man's persona to establish legitimacy.

3. Went to the used car ads on Craigslist (sorted by owners only, no dealers.)

4. Emailed the first 100 sellers on the page with an email like this:

"Hi, Just saw your listing on craigslist for the CARNAMEHERE you're selling. Are there any problems with the car right now?"

5. Waited 3 hours so it didn't seem like a spam account.

6. Responded to all replies with this message:

"I'm pretty interested in getting it and I need something rather soon but do you happen to have a report on the car? Would like to make sure there haven't been any serious issues with it.If not, I'd recommend getting one from here - LINK - I've used it in the past, it works well and it's cheaper than most other places.

I'd just feel safer about getting a vehicle with an official report because I've had friends and family get shafted on craigslist before. Be sure to let me know if/when you get a report so I can check it out. I'm definitely interested in the car."

My Results? Well out of about 100 emails sent I received about 45 replies (so close to 50%). Of those 45 that replied I managed to pull in only 1 conversion on the VinAudit product after a few hours. I haven't seen another one since.

A lot of the sellers replied with messages like "I can give you the VIN number if you want to get the report yourself." Others flat out told me to fuck off.

So, is this a viable method? Eh, yes and no. You'd have to make it 100% automated in order for it to be worth it, rotate several large cities, respond to a lot more listings (like 1,000-2,000 a day if you want to make anything decent), and maybe test out different messages and twists to the method to increase conversions.

1 in 100 isn't terrible considering this is a really sleazy, blackhat method but if you're looking to bank, well, there are much better ways to do it. The product itself only pays out a little over $5 per conversion and, if you're doing this manually, it'll take around an hour or so to email all the sellers and then respond to them with the link. So $5/hr... I'll pass but maybe someone can come up with a craftier way to mold this technique for another niche or something.

well done dude! honestly i had a more efficient way of doing it, but got around the same results.

Yup. And actually I just came back to the thread to state that I just saw a 2nd conversion come through from this. So 2 in 100. Made an awesome $11.94 off this for essentially an hour of work. Again, if you have a much faster and efficient way of doing it and automating I could see this working for a bit of extra cash. Just thought I'd give it a shot to prove if it actually works or not.

Nice... Could try changing the email around.. Maybe say you're looking at another one that's a little older and had previously been in an accident as the guy supplied you with a Carfax report. But you'd rather go with something newer and you'd feel more comfortable if he could supply you with a report as well and then you mention the cheaper service. Then if they say no, you respond back again and say that thanks anyway but you'll probably end up going with the other one then in a couple days. Gives them time to think about the fact that you'd rather buy theirs but there's some time sensitive competition.. Uses some fear of losing the sale. If they come back with the report, you can then say you decided to go with the other one anyway.

Oh.. and it also deals with the "get the report yourself" people since you're saying another seller supplied you with a report.

I actually had a 3rd conversion randomly come through today from this. So I've made roughly $17 off it for an hour of work. And the OP says there's a more efficient way of doing this so if you cut that time down even further that's not terrible. Expand to bigger cities, tweak the messages, just get out there and do it. It works.
