Method + question

So the other day I saw a video on BHW and I forgot who it was that posted it but the guy basically explained how you can drive lots of traffic very quickly which indeed worked for me. The way to do it was:

1) Go to Google news
2) In the search type in "announced"
3) Find something like technology or something you think will blow up in a bit
4) Start a blog, name the blog item+review
5) Do some basic SEO, backlinks etc.....

So I made a blog last night and I got 410 page views yesterday and 387 page views today. No money from adsense came from this, my affiliate link to amazon related product got no clicks :S BUT I learned an awesome way to drive traffic. Never used amazon before this is the first time and I don't ever focus on adsense except my affiliate blogs for other things. Any suggestions?

Very nice dude, I remember seeing the post, I'll see if I can find it for you. I do a similar thing but with Google trends which also works nicely. I use Adsense, though I've only recently started, my traffic has increased for days :)
 
Oh dude this is why I like to make posts like this because now I am just confirmed I should build one of these a day!

You can try CPA for whatever the niche is, so if you did one that had to do with a new electronic gadget you could use an ipad offer. Or you could try CL the page and see what works better for you.

A few questions for you: What kind of SEO you do? scrapebox for backlinks (how many backlinks was enough to get traffic in your experience if you did?), or post to social media sites or social bookmarking? Did you write your own content, or just put in the "title+review" and paste whatever content you found? Also did you just use blogger for this, or did you purchase your own domain with an EMD?

Thanks for the reply, I do simple SEO such as backlinking, selecting the right meta tags, titles, description, submitting to search engines and listings etc..... As for backlinks it depends for example I made another blogger about a new product coming out and bombarded with backlinks but in 2 days only 100 views the other blog with 835 views now from 2 days had not as many backlinks so it really depends on what you are promoting or reviewing too. I wrote my own content but I re-wrote it.

When I first got into this, I made a blog that just reblogged the latest stock news. I was getting like 30k hits a day, everyday.... but I didn't make a cent on anything. I tried content locking even... nothing.

So I stopped.

Money is what makes us do what we do, otherwise you'd be making a blog without ads, or offers.

If you're not making any money, don't keep doing it.

Great point my friend, although I believe that you actually could make a good income from this method if you monetize it right, send the traffic towards somewhere else etc..... But I definitely agree that it could be a waste of time without monetizing. That's why I asked if anyone had any ideas
 
I would also suggest giving CPA a shot, and targeting announcements that will appeal to a particular crowd. For instance, if it was as announcement for a new game then a GameFly offer may do well.

If you can get a better picture of the person landing on the page, you can be in a better position to choose offers that may appeal to them.

good way to get traffic definitely. doubt you will make money with this traffic though. its mainly just a traffic source
 
Yea , it is not really new , but always works !
it can be done with amazon too , picking the new products and making reviews for them , usually there is quite few searchs for the new products !
 
I was thinkings CPA but I wanna make use of this traffic. @Calebmann I agree on that but I still think you can monetize these peeps. @aymnbnr great idea my friend, WILL try this out shortly!

If the traffic is low quality (high bounce rate, low conversion, low minutes/visit), it means it is not targetted. Try and find a way to gain more targeted and high quality traffic! Maybe you'll just have 50-100 page views, but you might get 5-10 clicks a day
 
Glad to see your still after it. Just work on filtering down to high quality traffic and monetizing it.

The traffic is really targeted especially for the niche I made it for lol

Yeah bro just had to take some time off getting some things straight but the head phones thing is still a big thing man I am thinking about it everyday ill come up with something real soon, if anything ill just work with your site
