Well you could definitely drive the traffic from Pinterest but I think it would yield better results pointing to your own site. Then you can build a list or place ads that will entice the audience. Never hurts to try, but I would definitely isolate it and try on a fresh account instead of blowing up one that is already converting elsewhere.

Apparently TinyURL doesn't allow shorte.st links anymore. Says its been added to the blacklist.
Is there an alternative that pastebin will allow so they show up in the public area?

So does anyone still earn money from this?
This method is what I call a "saturation method" .
To make good money you need to start with 1 saturation method and then progress to 10 then to to 50.
This method takes mass uploads to make bank you need to start by finding 100 niches for example clash of clans, this would be 1 niche and for every niche you need to upload a minimum of 20 pastes use keywordshitter for keyword ideas.
100 niches x 20 pastes= 2000 pastes so if you upload an average of 10 niches x 20 paste a day it will take you 3 months to upload 1000 niches or 20000 pastes you shold make $3 per 1000 click so in theory this should easily make you $50-$100 a month and even more if you direct them to a PPD site.
Find 10 of these methods that you can easily work on a daily basis 30 minutes a method = 5 hours a day and by the time you upload a shit ton of links you should be making a nice chunk of change, my advice would be to use as many reliable url shorterners as possible to spread your eggs.

I think facebook traffic with warmed-up accounts may work too. I tried it with facebook a few days ago, made 2 bucks, all I did was spammed about 30 groups with some links for a few times. This thing needs a program like massplanner or ninja blaster. Since ninja blaster gives you 3 days to try it out, and so I did. Though I spent 2 days kinda warming up the account, and the 3rd day spammed some links and it worked. The account got banned though, since I sent like 200 group requests
