very interesting thanks for the write up, i always knew kids were a great niche, i heard the cpm is very high is that true?
Here's an idea for you that is simple and easy to create. Have a kid walking down the beach with some simple music in the background. Every 15 steps or so he stops, the music stops, he digs in the sand and finds something unexpected like a crab or whatever. He looks surprised, shakes his head, and then he starts walking again. As soon as he starts walking again the music starts again. Keep doing this for however long you want, but at the end he finds the toy dump truck he was looking for. He smiles real big and then jumps up and down. Boom. There it is. This simple video has everything a kid needs to enjoy it. It's really that easy.
Which other animation software do you recommend as the best aside reallusion?Hey @Phunky, good read, just a few questions :
1) Does these kinds of videos still work on Youtube because the niche have been pretty much saturated for years...
2) Won't youtube remove the channel monetization for "duplicate or repetitive content" if there are never any voices in the videos?
3) How long does it take you to make a 10 mins+ video?
4) Upload schedule?
5) What's your average CPM for this kind of channel?
I've actually used reallusion products before (cartoon animator + crazytalk). They are pretty good but not the best. I'm actually thinking about setting up a BTS here for these kinds of videos with another software (we'll see if it's worth it).

This is your typical misinformed internet panic, but changes are coming. What they are doing is stopping the ability to collect data on children which will remove targeted ads...not ads altogether. They are also removing comments and notifications from any channel that falls into the "for kids" category. What effect this has on channels has yet to be seen because the changes haven't happened yet. There will likely be a dip in earnings because of the changes, but they are not completely demonetizing them...yet at least. It's YouTube so we won't know until we know.
Yes, it's a top tier CPM niche to be in at the moment. As you can see in my reply above this one there are changes coming to the niche though. On the plus side, even if they for whatever reason decide to obliterate kid content from the platform you can still twist the "no voice video" method to any other niche. Of course, if you're willing to at least use your own voice then your options will increase tremendously, but still won't be needed if you can find a sweet spot to create for.
