Facebook is not as hard as you may think, but there are also, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest etc, you can work with any media that suits you better.
In terms of theme - it could be any theme, just ensure it's lightweight. What's important here is not the beautiful design, but the content!

It’s wasn’t monetized before in the same way, it brings better profit these days as ads also work differently in terms of monetization.
 
A powerful tip: Subscribe your visitors and turn them into returning and constant users to your site.

The subscription could be done via a simple pop-up window asking for users email - there are a bunch of free plugins that can help you do that as well as they could be integrated directly to your mailing provider. The email can be used later on to send updates to users and return them to the site.

Another option is to setup push notifications - they could work even better than email popup as users won't have to type email just click 'okay'.
You can use free OneSignal push notification service for that.

NB - make sure you do not send too many updates. I had an issue when upon adding 10 quizzes at the same time I accidentally sent 10 updates, that cost me a few subscribers. You don't want to annoy them with the updates.

I thought I should give it a try yesterday and looked for german Domains. Fortunately the german Plural of Quiz (quizze) was free, so I've bought the Domain http://quizze.de and worked on the Website yesterday.
I tried a few Plugins and I like ARI Stream the most. I can not put Ads between Questions with ARI Stream, but that is fine. Now comes the hard part: Making Quizzes !!!
I will use Adsense when I have 20-30 Quizzes. Right now I put Amazon Ads on the Site. You can try how the Plugin works on this Quiz with Flags on my Site:

Thank you for this. I'm also trying this. Got domain and wp set up. Few quizzes to test the site but i am not really comfortable yet how sites usability feel. HD quiz plugin has pagination option that could be good way to increase pageviews as it will display each question in own page. But then again usability is worse compared to without pagination. I quess it has somekind of ajax/javascript functionality that changes questions on the same page. That can show ads every 4th one + 1 that shows when page is loaded.

But i still need to improve site before i start to do promotions/marketing. Also need to create quizzes. Trivia and educational questions are pretty fun to do.
 
I also created a website and testing few quizzes plugins. However facing an issue with two things.

First: Is there anyway we can find, which and what quizzes are popular which can bring money?
second: Some plugin has not Adsense settings plugins.

Again for an Arbitrage method. I think we still need to throw 500$ to test whether this method work or not?
 
@se900se Hello OP, I’m trying to profit with this method but I have a one big issue. I’m using adsense for monetization and getting around 0.10$ CPM not CPC !CPM! (My CPC is around 0.01$)... The traffic is coming from USA so it is not a country problem. I know you said adsense sucks and I should implement a waterfall with other ad networks but those networks won’t accept me (already got a few rejections) because I don’t meet their minimum traffic requirements. Also you said you are getting around 20$ RPM from adsense (the “ bad setup”) so I wonder why they pay me so little (My RPM is just shy of 2$ due to this terrible CPM rate) it’s crazy and feels really bad as I have been using adwords a few months ago and they were charging me 3$ CPM for crappy non converting impressions on crappy websites :/ Please help I’m really losinh my mind here

I have an approved Adsense account I used with Youtube. Can I just add this to the website or does google need to verify your site?
