I already have a few affiliate sites but I'm looking to push through to that $1,000 a month (my target when I started).
I would say that it's not always essential to look for higher priced items. The goal should be to get as many people to Amazon as possible and let "Average spend" take over.
For example, I'm doing well with a certain search term where the products are usually between $15 and $30. It's an evergreen niche and the macro-niche is huge. So I've benefited from people going on Amazon and spunking $500 - $1,000 a few times. I would have to perform some research, but I think > 50% of my commissions are from products I don't actually list on the website.
Finally, you say you help people selling websites that make $1,000 per month. As a rough guide, what kind of return would you expect from a website in an evergreen niche that could potentially be expanded quite a bit? I understand it's hard to say, but that's my ultimate goal so it's good for motivation!
