I had just started building my new site last week and already have the niche, keywords and articles ready. This is perfect for me. Looking forward to phase 3 & 4!
 
My new reviews site is coming up shortly and I have many niches covered as sub-domains. I just needed an opinion on using the exact keyword/phrase as a sub-domain rather than using a separate EMD...

How much difference would that make to my SEO effort IF everything else remains constant for both: exact-match-keyphrase.domain.com, as well as the EMD? The URL would have the keyphrase as a subdomain, and "reviews" in the domain name as well.

To be honest, while this is no doubt going to be a great resource on BHW for years go come. So far you haven't really done anything other than telling people to pick a niche and buy hosting from your buddies affiliate link.
 
Never tried Amazon with a website before, Youtube is working fine for me.

But having a website is long-term and future-proof investments.
I read the blog post you provided in the op, but it's not specific for an Amazon website creation which might be missing some key points.
I don't know much about how Amazon website should be, but I heard there are some things should be included to be safe with Amazon like TOS or policy page, etc. Hope you will cover those points too.
