@lostchoas How you're making the design. I'm not a designer and finding it pretty hard to design the shirt.

I came across a program called Make Merch which is quite easy but still I'm finding it very difficult.

Any suggestion?

Yes, sadly i have only made 365 so far. Obviously, it is a low amount but only if your thinking of short term, which if it is the case, then Merch By Amazon or POD isnt going to be your style, unless you run ads or influencers. I dont even consider the first 6 months as profit since its really going to go right back into it.

To be honest, i started Merch by Amazon to fund some of my other methods, as most my income money goes to support my family, but as I went on I started to keep all my profits and use them specifically to grow this up. Iv spent 10/month for research tools and 25 for a listing tool, so $60 = $305. Iv only used Amazon profit to buy the tools I need to scale faster.

Couple things:

-- I already use Etsy, eBay, etc and I see what you're saying about having your designs on as many platforms as possible. How would I work that on etsy though? Just upload a picture of the design? What about fulfilment of the t-shirt, etc? That's awesome though. Even better is when the company grows you can outsource the designing and uploading process, making a full-fledged automated business out of this. Very interesting.

For Etsy I recommend printful, it handles all the orders and shipping for free. They don't charge you until you make sales. Its very similar to Merch By Amazon

As for ebay, i use Printful + Shipstation, Shipstation costs 9/month for 50 orders but will allow integration into several platforms,

Honestly im not too sure on that one, im from America, and i wasn't even aware other countries had access yet as my customers, i believe are coming just from the us. I

Iv never heard of make merch but looking at it, its very similar to placeit(what i use sometimes). I might consider taking a look at it as making designs fast with vectors that are not copyright are one of my chief concerns.

I mainly use photoshop tho, i make the template at 4500 by 5400. Then just add text and a vector that relates. My example, i put "Rock For Senate 2018" at the bottom and added a American flag behind it.

Can you tell us more about this? What are Printful and Shipstation and how do they allow you to sell on places like Jet and Walmart? Those are both huge markets.

Printful is a Print On Demand platform that allows integration on several different platforms.
So what you do for etsy, for example

1: Connect Etsy to Your Printful account
2: Upload your design and pick the products you want that design to be on in etsy.
3: Submit product, what this will do is make a draft of the product in etsy, So all you have to do is make the listings correct.
4: Publish product, Printful handles the orders, shipping and even adds your brand on the package.


With Printful + Shipstation, i mainly use it for ebay, all shipstation does is handles the shipping part for platforms printful doesn't ship to by themselves yet.

For Walmart or Jet, Yes these are big stores and require alot more work to get into them, but it is possible.

For more info on these, just go to the printful site. It will show you everything you need to know.

Just to give my 2 cents on this:

It's a viable way to make money. I sell t-shirts on Amazon, Etsy, Ebay and other sites and have recently been accepted for Merch for amazon on october 13th or so. I only started adding shirts on the 15th (2 per day max). Right off the bat, I started making a good amount of sales. I thought I was doing average numbers but if OP made 300$ over several months, I guess things are better than I thought.

If it helps at all, here are some numbers for october (16th to 31st because I just started selling).




Also, thanks for the tip about having to fill 80% of the possible listing capabilities to upgrade to the next tier. I had no idea. I just started uploading some more to try and fill up my slots. Been at 25 since the first week. I had tier'd up on the first week and have been waiting for the next ones forever.

Honestly, this does 2 things for me, 1st being I'm super jealous and frustrated of your results haha and 2nd I'm inspired and determined by your results. Keep up the good work, Your a inspiration to alot of people.

I am not yet accepted with merch by amazon though

Guys I have one more question. To request an invitation from Merch they demand to enter company details etc. Do You guys entered real company data or just fake? Because currently I don't have my own registered business,.

You can answer something fake, just make up a brand name of your choice or just use ur name as the brand.

Im not 100% sure but i believe it does make a difference as right now, only usa customers are served merch by amazon currently i believe

You need to check your supplier to know if you can sell your tees in that country. I'm using Teelaunch, and they can't serve Germany, so Amazon.de won't work

Ugh the 25 design cap is really causing me to lose a lot of sales. Can't wait for them to unblock it again!

I dont have much advice for shopify + prinful, id recommend looking for platforms that supply their own traffic. Iv had much better results with these, besides paid ads , i dont do that well getting social media traffic.

But if ur really stuck on that, try makeing facebook pages for niches that ur designs are in, and start posting those niche memes on the page. Make to use great tags, do this for awhile until u get enough followers like 1000. Then post a shirt once or twice a week.
