Method idea: Old magazine DVDs = Serious NFT cash

Not that you can't make money, but also have to be reasonable too - people collecting NFTs aren't buying (mainly) from any random motherfucker that slaps up 500,000 random pictures from magazines, they're trying to find collections where either:

a) the person creating the NFTs blow up and all of their future work is worth much more, or..
b) there is a limited collection of pieces (like punks) and the collection itself is what blows up.

Not saying this couldn't make money, but it's a complete misunderstanding of NFTs to naively look at the market and think that it's just a free for all where you just copy paste bullshit and reliably make loads of money.

Would be interested to know if anyone has actually made money from this method?

Far better is to create a collection that has meaning behind it of some sort.

If you got access to a NFT API all you gotta do is load up a billion images from old computer magazine CDs and sell NFTs.

I got like terabytes of DVDs from magazines with these videogame sprites that you could use with Macromedia Director or early Flash.

Old mags graphics are probably not online and their authors probably don't give a shit anymore.

If you got those old CDs laying around, then you can probably find tons of unindexed graphics that can be sold as NFTs. Also old videogame ROMs and graphics and stuff like that, probably copyright expired. Lesser known games had these style graphics and nobody remembers them. Don't use Super Mario of course.

Just an idea for a method using this new craze.

I remember the joys of transferring 600-900mb + over an hour and then praying to the computer gods no files would be corrupt.

Out of interest if you are going as far back as ZIP.. What you got in magnetic tape? lol
