Just a quick guide for those of you that wish to setup automated Tumblr Blogs. It's actually very simple but with all things automated you don't really have any control over the quality. Obviously you could go through your queue every day and take out the images you don't like, depends on you and how serious you want to take things. In just a few minutes you will have a fully automated blog.
To automate the process we will be using IFTTT. Good site which can be used with a lot of the major social networks.
So first things first, go make an account - https://ifttt.com/
There are tons of "recipes" you can use but for now we want this one.
This grabs images from an RSS feed and posts to Tumblr.

You should now have an image like so

Starting from top to bottom
Activate your channel - Login and confirm that IFTTT has permission to post content to your blog
Feed URL - This is where you place your Imgur link (explained below)
Photo URL - The website/link you want people to go to if they click on your image
Photo caption - Image description. Obviously varies depending on your niche. I find creative descriptions tend to work best
Tags - Put in words/tags relating to your image. Lets say for example my image is about games, my tags would be; games, gaming, game, consoles, pc, xbox, playstation etc.. you get the idea
Publish - You have a drop down box, several options inside. Very self explanatory. Because we want to automate our blogs you should use queue
It's one account per tumblr blog, so you will need several emails.
To make things easy I use the emails to sign with up and IFTTT.
Remember that imgur link I mentioned about? Well here is how you find one.
-Google imgur + your keyword. (example; imgur games, imgur fashion)
-Its general the top link but if not it will looking like this (imgur.com/r/gaming)
-You should see tons of images
-Make the link a rss feed but adding /rss onto the end (imgur.com/r/gaming/rss)
-Copy that link and paste it into the "Feed URL" on IFTTT
Now when images are posted onto that board/group it will then be posted/queued onto your blog
Will take roughly 24 hours for your queue to fill up.
Easy peasy lemon squezzy
Tips/Tricks
To keep your queue constantly full use several imgur feeds. (I currently have 8-10 depending on my niche)
If you want to keep the same Photo URL, Photo caption, Tags and Publish after you have clicked on "Use Recipe" and it has loaded the next page simply click on back and replace the "Feed URL" with your new link.
Nothing to special but certainly makes things easier. I even imagine a few people already do this.
If you have any questions then don't be afraid to ask!
