Wikipedia don't allow backlink spamming (farming). So make sure your wiki content is with the BEST quality and only ONE link , don't post an article with 10000 links your article will be removed and your account suspended.

A word of warning, don't add too many links from you site to Wikipedia or they may blacklist your site. One good relevant link is enough in my book.

Information provided by OP is really good. I used a very similar trick and got Wikipedia backlinks to 3 of my websites. Here are my two cents. If you want the backlink in a very popular niche, find a micro category that is unexplored much and get your long post created around that. Just add one or two lines to the popular niche Wikipedia entry and backlink to your website.

IS there any difference in the backlink quality when the wikipedia entry contains "2000 to 2500 words" as you state in your guide versus just a few sentences?
