Hello everyone. I am using Dropshipping as one of my income sources and I would like to share you the EXACT way that I am using to find profitable items that will SELL. I am sharing it because I find it very hard to find profitable items when I just started to dropship.

Disclaimer: I am not a guru/rocket science engineer: Please do not send me PM with questions. If you have one: Ask here and I will answer. PMs regarding this specific thread will be ignored.

    What you need
    Watch count
    Aliexpress Account
    Ebay Account

    How it works
Let's say for example that I want to sell a keyboard on eBay; but I want to know which type of keyword are selling the best - I will simply visit Watchcount when we there; We will write 'Keyboard' on search
    [IMG]

Great! Now I have just found out that this type of keyboard is one of the top 3 keyboards that being sold on the platform. It's time to research on Amazon for the same type of keyboard.

Let's click on the title and check how many sales this specific seller made

As we can see the seller is made more than 5K Sales which means. Now we want to find a lookalike item or the same item on Aliexpress we will simply copy the seller Tittle and insert on Aliexpress search engine.

I find a similar product on Aliexpress; Now all I have is just copy the listing information and take the Seller keywords - If we will have just 1% a month from his keyboard listing revenue we can make some bank. $

    • Keyboard costs: 9.24$
    • eBay & Gaypal Fees: 15%
    • Costs after Fees: 10.62$
So, it will cost us 10.62$ In total to send this keyboard to our client. The Current seller who sold 5K pieces selling it for 13.89$. We will sell the keyboard for 13.75$ ; Each sale will bring 3.13$ of pure profit to our skinny pocket.

3.13$ Are small profit - and you should him for 10X than this. The Idea of this Tutorial is to explain to you how to research for profitable items. If you will invest enough time In products research - you will VERY much bigger margins than the one that I show in here.

    TIPS

    • Your goal is to get your keyboard listing on eBay on page 1 - before the Actual seller that we got the idea for our keyboard. Our chances to get in there are VERY achievable, why? : We sell it at a better price than the original seller. eBay wants to provide his customers with the best prices that they can get. However: If you are a new seller without feedbacks and sales history: They will make it 3X Harder on you. but you can always sell cheap items for 0.99$ and build your account from 0. It can be done with minimal work.

    • You can use Pinterest / Quora / Social Media to drive traffic to your listing, eBay love traffic outside of their marketplace and it can help to push your listing higher in SERPs engine.

The profit margin is very thin and very risky if there is chargeback or returns or even price fluctuation due to currency exchange. What is the percentage of chargeback reserve that you keep? I mean you have a good model but the profit margin is a bit low to be on the risk aspect.

Chargebacks are part of any online business and you should accept it. the ratio for chargebacks are usually 1:20 so you always keep on the side a small percentage that will be used for that. Regarding the profit with this specific Item, I agree with you for 100%. 3$ It's a tiny profit: the whole Idea was to share the method - Not show off a fancy margin. With a short time invested in Outsource Aliexpress products - you can find 10X bigger margins than the one I have just shown in here.
Regarding currency exchange: Each country and their own fees. if you are located in US - It shouldn't be a problem. or you can simply use a CC that his currency is USD only. those are things that you should talk about with a financial advisor. Not me.

Glad to here that it open some Ideas on your mind. cheers :)
    Your'e welcome.

That's okay. I understand your concern. However: As an eBay seller myself I understood that I sell keywords, Not photos. So as you can see the keyboard that we found on Aliexpress is offering the same features that our 'competitor' is offering in keywords. Which means we can compete with him. the Idea was to share the method and let the reader understand how to outsource good products to dropship. I hope that It does the job well - and if not you can feel free to ask me anything.

    Great share!

I'll add this - if you're in USA/Canada/Western Europe use the method posted to find in demand, highly "watched" items and go ahead and buy some in bulk. Once they come to you - list them and offer next day shipping. People do pay a fair price if the delivery will be fast and they need the item, nobody likes to wait 3-4-5++ weeks.

Hello again. I've been using this site and checking out potential products I may sell. But some of these products that ive found arent on aliexpress, alibaba, etc.

The seller wasn't any big brand or anything but was selling name brand clothings like nike. Where does this seller find these products to buy at a low cost and resell them?

And how does one get an inventory? Is there a website or someone with a discount for bulk purchases?

Thank you for the compliment, I appreciate it.

    Cheers Redarrow, you're welcome.
Yeah, this is my attitude. make it simple as I can because I know that sometimes things sound too complicated. Glad it helps you.
    Great extra. thank you
If you want to make some money and afraid to get a few punches here and there .. you should think about another job.
There is always DICK customers/ppl in everywhere I go. I learn how to move forward
Not every product that you will see on eBay can be found on Aliexpress. There's many other platforms that you can outsource from.
For example; Walmart,Amazon,Overstock. ETC ETC. At the end - you will find it.
    Cheers ! you're welcome

    ***VERY IMPORTANT***
There is a big mistake here guys and many fell in this mistake, you should know that eBay & GayPal fees are calculated based on SOLD PRICE on eBay not based on item cost in AliExpress.
Thank you for the method i will try it.

OP, I wouldn't post that the eBay fees are 15% on the product cost. That makes no sense. You are charged fees based on what you sell the item for, and you calculate your potential profits that way.

Nice tips man, just a very noob question about dropshipping, how do you do it? Just say to Aliexpress seller to send to your buyer or the Aliexpress seller send it to you and then you send to your buyer?
