Good points, a key challenge in doing offline work is earning the trust of the local clients. One of the ways of doing it have a 1 or 2 websites (your own which you could rent or forward leads) ranking for a business type for a specific area (eg. don't go for London, but go for chelsea within london) to show that you are a professional and credible, meanwhile making a little earning from it.

Scrapebox is very risky to use with any site if you don't do it correctly. Use it correctly and it's still a very effective tool. Don't take the lazy way out and blast your links to sites on AA lists.

i am going to try this but can you explain what you mean by using scrapebox effectively - as it would be a disaster to get a site blacklisted
can a decent fiverr gig be used for scrapebox and could you give us some depth on what you mean about using it correctly

3 is just a number really. You can try and rank for as many (or as few) keywords as you want to.
Taking an AA list (or any list) published somewhere on a forum or a blog and blasting to it would be a bad thing. However, if you harvest (and verify) your own list of blogs, scrapebox would be great. Also, there's no use posting to sites with ten thousand comments on them already.
Another way would be to use scrapebox solely to find sites based on footprints and then have a VA post comments/posts or do that yourself.
Fiverr used to have some decent gigs but I find it hard to find good quality suppliers there these days (for SEO work).

I found out that your method is applicable in my country (Morocco), there are a couple prospects that i can contact, thou i have some questions:
1-The main language here is french, so should I use articles and press releases only in french or will it work also in English?
2- I did a small research and found out that there are only a couple of press releases websites in my country and probably no article directories, so will it work if I use other sites from the us or france for example to post them.
3- I don't have a clue on the scraplebox blast and link building thing, so do you have a tutorial or a guide that I can follow to get the same results as yours?

1. I haven't really tried to rank websites in languages other than English to please take what I say with a grain of salt. I think that English articles and PRs will help as well but the French ones might do a lot better as they will be seen as being more relevant.
2. The sites where you post can be from anywhere. Of course, the local ones would be the best but if they are limited then posting to other sites will also help.
3. I don't really have a guide for scrapebox/link building but there are a lot of guides on this forum. If you have a specific question about these, I'll be happy to answer them.
As for getting the same result as mine, please understand that even I don't get the same results all the time

Business owners who aren't familiar with online marketing aren't aware of all the tools that they can use to automate their marketing and build a sustained relationship with their prospects/customers. Autoresponders is one such thing. Now they may know about autoresponders but most don't know how to use them effectively.
That's where you, as a marketer, come in. You manage the hosting of their autoresponders and charge a monthly fee for it. Walk them through a couple of live examples by setting up sample responders for them. This service has huge perceived value and even though it'll cost you as much as a shared hosting account at most, you can charge clients anywhere from 5-10 times this amount.

at the risk of sounding ignorant did google change its algorithm for google + local pages?
how does the seven pack apply to link building? i hear people rank local much different from regular results due to the 7 pack.
do you still build back links to get into the seven pack or is it more citations?
maybe if anyone can reference some google local seo threat it might shed some light.

I believe this is based significantly more on the reviews in the particular G+ citation than link building or external citations. Though I'm sure these things all help.
I'd say the most important things, and what you should be focusing on in regards to the 7-pack is consistency in NAP, G+ reviews, completeness of G+ profile.
that definitely gives me a lot to look into. if there is a reference that could give me a fuller understanding of local seo that you can recommend i would greatly appreciate it
