[Method] Amazon to eBay Drop-shipping Done Right! Spoon Fed! *Long/Detailed*

Been doing this for a few weeks, it can work and to be honest, this is as close to a passive income as you can get IMO, with the least work. Finding the items can be a slight pain, but in all honesty, 30 mins a day on this for a couple weeks, you'll be earning a decent little income on the side.

I'm in the UK so I don't really see myself touching the OP's figures, but I'd definitely say if you're a student, this is a nice supplementary income for beer and food :P

I have another question. How do you handle sales tax? Amazon collects tax on 23 states. Do you factor it in when you're marking up the price on all of your listings or do you just take a chance and write it off as a loss if the buyer's state is a sales tax state? Thanks in advance!

I addressed this earlier in the thread but I write it off as a loss. I read somewhere here on BHW that a buyer who collected taxes from those states got into some legal issues and had to pay a bunch of back taxes for some of that stuff. It's just not worth my time for that extra $1 or $2.

Are you selling multiple of the same items under one listing? or is it just one item, one listing to test?

How long do you make the listing last? 30 days?

This is great and all but what about SALES TAX? amazon charges that and at times it can completely cut your profits. Can you explain what to do? When I see people post a guides on dropsshiping from amazon to ebay They never address this problem.

My very strong sellers that sell multiple times a day are listed in high quantity. The rest are single listings. These items are also ones I can count on to always be in stock. With single listed items I always check stock on Amazon before re-listing.

Yes, 30 day listings always. Have to get the most time for the cost of listing an item.

Once again, please read the original post before asking questions. I clearly state that invoices have not been included in almost all items on Amazon for over two years now.
 
Thanks for the info, just found a few items to cross list.. was not sure about using my prime but I might just sign up for a 30 day trial and go from them.

1. You mentioned prime account will get banned after several months. Can you tell me what is the average number of products your able to ship from a single prime account before it gets banned? And how does Amazon detect your drop-shipping? Based only on the number addresses you ship to?

2. Will Amazon ban a standard account as well or just prime?

3. You said you mark the taxes you pay to Amazon as a loss.. Is this legal? (just curious)

4. I heard Amazon has banned accounts for too many returns. Do you know the limit or have you had any accounts banned because of this?

1. I don't have an estimate for you, but they catch an after a couple months. They can tell you are re-selling when you change the shipping address for every item you purchase. It's simple, you can create unlimited trial accounts. There is absolutely no excuse for not using a trial account compared to your personal. Anyone thinking different is delusional.

2. No, when they ban you, it's just banned from prime, not from your actual account. They do not care if you re-sell on a regular account.

3. You might be getting confused. I don't mark anything specifically in my taxes. What I meant was, if the buyers address is in a state that Amazon charges tax, I just pay the tax. Therefore, I do not make as much profit per sale. In reality, you could charge buyers on eBay a tax based on their state, but you then have to file taxes in each state, which is not worth the extra work to me.

4. No. I have never had an issue with this.
 
Ever thought of using fulfillment & logistics service?
For example Shipwire? I know it is costy, but this way you can buy a stock and resend items.
Just wondering if such method works, though it is costy, around $6 per item for repackaging and shipping.
