If I buy the premium membership now will I automatically be upgraded to the Jr. VIP status once I'm eligible? Wondering since it's the same price.

The answer is no; both memberships are completely different despite being the same price.

Premium and Jr.VIP are totally different upgrades. To be able to upgrade to Jr.VIP your account should be at least 60 days old and to have 100+ posts. The Premium membership does not have any requirements and you can upgrade right away.

Creating threads or commenting on threads counts as a post. If you are asking about the message counter on your profile, it will go up as well, but posts made on "Blackhat Lounge" forum does not increase your message counter.
