Mega menu or popup?

Hi everybody,

New in tihis forum also new in seo, so forgive my ignorance. Can't find a good idea searching through so many posts...

I'm thinking about create a mega menu in my wordpress site to show my product categories. But I think it's more flexible and needs less code to call a popup from my main menu "products" item than install a megamenu plugin.
Which option is best for SEO? Mega menu or popup?
Somneone told me that Google doesn't index popups, is it true? Does Google index Mega menus?

Yeah, the popup might not be the best idea for SEO. Also, in the popup you can't place much content, so at this point it would be better a link from menu, "Products", without the megamenu, if you're worried about the heavy code. Also, on the side you can still make a popup, maybe a graphic one, to promote that page more, not necessarily related to a link, it can be standalone popup.
