Meeting tomorrow a bit worried

So I posted an ad on craigslist saying I could help people get access to lots of real estate leads. I didnt mention anything about SEM SEO or anything about what methods I would be doing but just made the post and told people to reply and schedule a meeting with me if interested.

I managed to arrange a meeting with a guy looking for leads tomorrow. Im worried that when I start pitching the fact that Ill be doing internet marketing for their company they might be turned off. I feel like im stressing over nothing. Anyone been in a situation similar or could just throw me some tips for their offline meetings.

Hmm, you might have jumped into this a bit pre-maturely if you warmed them up to the idea of 'Leads'. And craigslist always has the fun 'clients'.

But, long story short, get your game face on. You are going to approach this for SEO/SEM. Get your details set for them or their company-- If you know it. Have details laid out of what you can do for them....NOT how you can do it. Generating leads by getting their ranking up through organic SEO is GOLDEN. Plus, it'll be cheaper for them than buying leads per day/week.

Granted, this is Real Estate. Its hard to rank (most of the time). So it'll be costly to rank them up-- Have that in mind.

Be sure to have a Plan B when walking in-- Leads. You might not have access to leads or the ability to generate them yourself, but you can find someone who can and act as a broker. Look around the internets and ask for quotes on pricing for Real Estate leads local to the area the Real Estate guy is. Ask for the cost of Fresh and Exclusive leads, meaning they are under 24 hours old and are sold only to one buyer. Get the same quote for aged data as well (a week old and 30 days old...Anything older won't be of much use to a RE industry pro). Be sure to keep it exclusive. With those price quotes, you can mark them up for your profit margin.

And there, you're prepared for your meeting. Well, unless the guy wants it pro-bono so you work on 'commission'...Hey, its craigslist. Crazies are everywhere. There are plenty of guys who want free samples of data. NEVER pay out of your own pocket, they can pay for their own samples.

Word thanks yea that was my main plan to just pitch how useful this would be. Good tip for the leads thing ill definitely try and have someone I can purchase leads from. I'm making a nice presentation The fact that I'm 21 won't help lol

Do your homework, study the company, print off some papers and present it as if you were in a public speaking class in college. The worst they can say is no, so chill out.

Just like anything else in life, confidence is key. You just have to go out and really sell the idea. If you believe in your services, he will too!

I think people assume the internet is a whole part of getting leads these days.... IMO you'll be fine.

Just study up and make sure you are completely confident in what you're talking about. Be prepared to answer any questions he may have and make sure to sell the idea. You'll be fine! Don't worry just be calm and prepared. Like Sneeks said the worst they can say is no. Good Luck! Let us know how it went

What was the point of setting up a meeting?

All that person cares about is a good lead, so why not just send him some leads and if they're good, they'll contact you again for sure.

well whats the worst that could happen even if they get turned off? at the most u will just say thank you and sorry for wasting your time bye bye! not like they will eat u up or something ,ha!

I'm on my way back from it now he was a really cool guy. He was working on his own side business while still working at a real estate firm.

I told him I could definitely help him with the Internet marketing of his business he wants seo, and social media help for his side company. He doesn't have much of a budget to work with currently but we scheduled a second meeting for us to go in more depth about how much what he'll need done will cost.

I contacted a few of my friends in the real estate game and they said they'd try and hook me up with leads for his current position at the firm that hell give me a percentage of if the deal closes. All in all seems like it will be somewhat productive. I'm just glad to have had a reason to be up before noon lol

Good for you dude. That's great news. Keep it up til you have more work than you can handle. Then hire some people to do your job and buy yourself a nice house on the beach and get used to drinking out a coconut with a little umbrella in it.
