Medium is crooked

I had so many keywords ranked on the first page of Google and they banned me.! I wasn't spamming as they say. I ranked keywords based on the product (not review products). Medium caught on with people who know how to rank keywords quickly.

All those articles I wrote cost me money. When I check the article on Google to see if it's indexed and it's not. I was wondering if I could use those articles on my website or a different platform.

Lesson Learned Again: Please get an expired domain and rank your articles! As I said in a previous post my 8-year-old business went under because I relied on FB ads.

Good luck ranking an expired domain. It will not be as easy as medium but when you have finally learned it, it will be all worth it.

I ranked plenty of keywords with expired domains. Then check the link profile on ahrefs to see if it's clean. Next waybackmachine to look for previous PBN use.

If you can do it on expired domains, never use third party sites like medium ever. Because you cannot control them.

How do you ranked with medium? Can you explain more.
 
Rule 1 - Never be at mercy of a single platform
Rule 2 - Follow Rule 1

When you try to rank the articles using expired domain now, don't make the same mistake again and rely only on google traffic. Try to diversify your traffic by using different social media too. Otherwise a single core update from google and your site might lose most of it's traffic in future. Always diversify :)
 
Medium doesn't like supplement content.Medium works but my problem is Google is taking very long to index pages on Medium

So Google deindexed those articles? That action was taken by Google, then how is medium responsible in this? Parasites are never long term traffic milking source at all.
 
You might as well have posted that water is wet.

Medium has been crooked for a long time.

The reason why is that they have absolutely zero editorial screening.

Anybody can create a Medium article and rank it.

Now that Google has cracked down, the long-hanging fruit has been wiped off the table.

But the good news is if you know what you're doing with Medium and if you know where to look, Medium articles still rank.

They still can help you SEO-wise.

The key is to make sure that you follow all their rules and then follow an extra layer of rules that ensure that you're not pushing the envelope and are delivering solid value.

I know this is probably not the answer that you're looking for, but this is probably the answer that you need to hear.

Rules are there for a reason.
 
Did they tell you the reason why they banned your account? If you were not hiding affiliate links, what reason would they use to ban your account?
 
Yes, in this case, it makes sense to repurpose those articles on a different platform. You could move them to your own website, where you'd have full control over the content. You’ve learned the lesson, and now it's a good idea to strengthen your own domain so you're not dependent on external platforms anymore.
