mayweather vs mcgregor

Makes me wonder, what have you achieved to criticise these people? Give respect where it's due, these people are successful. Bill Gates is a genius in your opinion - but what can you do you justify earning the amount of money any of the people I've talked about earn?

Being smart isn't just reading books and knowing shit, I know a few programming languages but I would get fucked up fighting any capable fighter with 0 doubt. If I played golf with Tiger Woods, raced Lewis Hamilton, 1v1 any esports champ...etc I would lose because I don't have the knowledge they have. I'm smarter with computers, their smarter in their respective fields. The fact they're running up huge numbers shows they know what they're doing - what business do you run?

Look at Conors social medias, the image he portrays, the trash talking... it's all entertainment for his sponsors (relationship based on value), Conors fight promotion company (his own business), his team (more value)...etc. Conor himself has his own following. The people didn't buy the PPV to watch boxing, they came to watch Conor which is why this fight happened. He knows what he is doing, and that's smart. He didn't make the next Windows, but that isn't the pinnicle of intelligence or skill and the proof is in the numbers. You can apply what I just said about Conor to anyone who's successful.

50 Cent is another successful businessman, he didn't study at a top University - but he is a smart businessman without a doubt. Would he get involved with Floyd if there wasn't any value? Would Floyd get involved with Conor if there was no value? The answer is no.

Actions speak louder than words, the show they put on and what goes on behind the scenes are very different. Their money is based off their reputation - money, power and respect
I have achieved nothing, I'm just a student. When did I disrespect their achievements? I admire Mayweather and McGregor as world class legendary fighters. I just said that they are DUMB which is a fact and they don't know jackshit about business, it's their teams who do everything for them (a good example is a recent instagram post by Floyd Mayweather in which he promoted a crypto ICO, do you think that he even knows what that is? His manager just told him to promote that shit for some money and he did, so he's just a puppet BUSINESS WISE)... Bill Gates on the other hand started up his own business, met with investors himself, took all responsiblity to achieve his own goal like a real businessman.

So being good at sports makes you smart, really?

The businessman who made all this shit happen was DANA WHITE, if he didn't exist these 2 would never have fought. Dana White got millions from this and he's chilling whereas Conor ended up looking like a fool and Mayweather ended up looking pathetic for agreeing to this stupid shit (the boxing world didn't appreciate this match)

This is my last reply to you cause you seem deluded thinking that every rich uneducated guy is a good businessman lol.
1 man of whom I have to say is indeed a legendary businessman without education is Dr. Dre.

If they were "dumb", they both be on the sick n role waiting for their benefits cheques.

But I will give it you, Mayweather does come across as dumb, he beats women, gambles most his money, and owes a shit load in taxes. But I don't know how you can form the opinion that McGregor is dumb.

I don't know what kind of income Mayweather has but that is silly spending. I doubt he is broke, but his money might be tied up in investments that he can't liquidate easily - so IRS would have to wait on that.

What I'm saying is the image these people sell to the public and what they actually do is very different - someone on BHW isn't going to see what happens behind the scene lmao. Calling people dumb is disrespecting their achievements, no offense but if you're a student how can you say they're dumb when you haven't achieved the same. If it was that easy wouldn't you have done it already?

Entertainment is all about an image, Conor is the best example I can think of for that. Not to mention, you need skill to be able to not only get Dana White on board, but end up crossing into another sport against the world champion. Dana White gave Conor the opportunity I'll give you that, but don't deny Conor/Mayweather don't work hard or aren't smart.

There's a reason why he hasn't been defeated in Boxing, and there's a reason why Conor has dominated the UFC - skill and knowledge of what they're doing

The trouble is Mcg is the king of the social media and spin which makes up for a lack of ability. His MMA record is better than average but that's it with too many average fighters on his win record. He thinks he has the power and style to step up his game but he got shown to be what he is tonight. I think Mayweather has probably had harder sparring sessions than this. If Mcg wants to go anywhere but UFC after this then it's best to go to WWE.

He is a student, he knows everything there is to know about anything. The majority of students do. It's all the life experience they have that gives them this knowledge.

They even know the answer to - when mummy puts and even amount of socks in the washing machine, how come you end up with odd socks. Do you know the answer to this age old mystery?

That is a wonderful question. Interestingly enough, I had this happen this morning with my https://www.amazon.com/Blue-Ringmaster-Shit-Socks-Multi/dp/B01MS7CTX3/ socks. One is clean... the other is just gone. That's six dollars down the drain.

Ah the guy who became an expert in finance by watching The Big Short 3 times and said that Bitcoin would crash when it was at 1800 LOL! Nice to see you again, troll. Do you have nothing better to do than follow me around everywhere and troll?

First of all, kudos for being direct in admitting.

And here you're projecting. How do *you* know about it - and I mean, what is your methodology? Hopefully, as a student you've learned that assessment is a process that needs to be based on a robust set of criteria that are meticulously applied in a consistent and intellectually honest way, in order to identify the base evidence, use them to create hypothesis and test them.

So, fighter X is dumb. From what I see in your post, your whole train of thought is "cause they don't manage their daily business themselves, other that fighting and acting". I call that criterion as miserably lacking and totally out of base with reality. Here's why.

it's their teams who do everything for them

Anything less would have been really dumb. You don't get to become world class in anything if you have time to manage all the trivial things you can outsource. The alpha and omega in business is to outsource as much as possible, leaving you in your best shape for you core competencies. Best people in the world have at most 5 core competencies. Anything else they put their time on is a colossal waste (or if you like the fancier term, carries a huge opportunity cost).

(a good example is a recent instagram post by Floyd Mayweather in which he promoted a crypto ICO, do you think that he even knows what that is? His manager just told him to promote that shit for some money and he did, so he's just a puppet BUSINESS WISE)...

See why you don't get business? Outsourcing is hard as hell because you need to place trust, devalue your ego and let go. Successful people choose wisely and trust, for the simple reason that the alternative is mediocre. Yes, people can scam you. You can be a control freak, spend your time learning and checking and never get scammed. You won't be rich as fuck. They chose rich instead of their ego because they put down their minds and arrived at the logical conclusion. I know people who can't stand at the thought of delegating for fear of getting tricked. They are not rich - competent yes but extremely limited by the common denominator: time.

Smart people buy time. Smart business people buy as much time as possible, all the time.

Bill Gates on the other hand started up his own business, met with investors himself, took all responsiblity to achieve his own goal like a real businessman.

One of his core competencies. If Bill Gates wants to kick someone's ass, he won't be hitting the gym. He'll outsource - even if the thought of buffing up to have the pleasure of bitch-slapping someone himself was bringing a smile to his face. Anything else would have been amazing waste - and clearly neither his time, nor his mind is for waste.

So being good at sports makes you smart, really?

Makes you successful, which is all that matters, ever. Smart is a meaningless buzzword for circlejerking unless it is being materialized in success. You (not literally you) could read a bazillion sports books and know of all the technicalities, history and what not. If that's not making you rich or niche famous it's a waste, it's even more contemptuous than being on the low end of the spectrum - because a person who doesn't have the capabilities can't be blamed for not using them to the fullest.

Everybody won here. Dana, Conor and Mw got millions - they couldn't care less about what people think today since they know that opinion is fickle and only worth what you can cash out of it. The fans got their entertainment, during the match and afterwards in their chats. The haters got their chance to hate. Everybody wins. Beautiful.

@jazzc Whoa, easy. Don't obliterate the poor guy like that.

Fucking brilliant. Took me a while to understand that smart and intelligent is just a way to wank your ego, like umm... I know grammar, I'm smart. That guy can't make a proper sentence, he's dumb.

Or calling somebody stupid just because he has an iPhone. Bitch, at least I have money to buy an iPhone. You're still using that Motorola brick from '87. What are its qualities? Oh, polifonic sounds...

Something something basketball degree something something.

Thinking about it, Dana White delegates part of his business. He doesn't fight, he does everything behind the scenes. He finds people who can actually fight to put on the show, he just makes it happen. I tried to explain this to
AlumniAce but he wasn't having it lol

"Dana White no longer running negotiations for the Mayweather vs. McGregor fight ..." so ....

k. comon

who lost $ by betting on mcgregor?

were are all boys here, so we can out ourself.
