It's kind of a mixed bag for me.... Some sites down some up but if I had to make a complete assessment in the aftermath I'd say I got pretty lucky and my own competition was overall hit harder than me with one specific case where I now rank first for a very profitable kw, while I was on page N^15 before... So I'll join the F U mint cunts just for fun! troll troll Also I wanted to point out that -unlike some self-proclaimed seo gurus- I spoke of LUCK not "learn to do your backlinking right" or shit like that (and I read a lot of these comments these days) because NOBODY knows what the big g is cookin so it'd sound smarter to cut the my-sites-are-still-ranking-bc-i-know-what-i-do, unless, well, you know unless what

I tried creating sites with lots of great content, and hoping for the best. They failed every single time in rankings when compared to some simple, but crappy content, and in-page & off-page SEO.

I have a weird experience with the new update.

One of my sites that was ranked #1 for a month or so for its main keyword was dropped to somewhere in the #300's. But my other sites which range in ranks from page 2 - page 5 didn't budge.

The difference between the way I SEO'd and built the sites is completely identical. So for some odd reason i really hope its just a coincidental dance.

Gotta love googles inability to role out a proper, tested algorithm.

Hey dude,
as it seems it would be interesting to know what would be the launch date of the tanked site (resp. date when promotion started) vs the non tanked site.
Another interesting point would be if the link profiles at majestic (don't give anything about seomoz, they are laggards with their OSE, which is a broken product right now) differ coz of natural links or syndications (regarding anchors text %, deep link percentage, don't believe in that quality stuff, i got sites tanked with natural BL from legit, national newspapers, anchor text contencentration was high though ~40%).

After recent algos it is almost possible to make good content and rank naturally. Massive scraper sites which are already authority in the google eyes, will scrape you and rank better than you.

They are forcing people to use adwords.
