It is not the tool - it is something else as I use that tool and have had no issues even with messing with the email addresses and phone numbers attached.
If you think the tool is not working properly though contact their support.

I believe IG had some api issues yesterday since I was facing this issue on few accounts as well but nor much though. It doesnt have anything to do with MP. You could either try using accounts through embedded browser to see if actions work well so you could determine what the issue actually is.

This issue tends to be a result of following and unfollowing at the same time. Are you currently doing both at the same time?
I am but that was never an issue in the past
