Massive Direct Scrapebox Blast on Brand New Website

It would be fine if you could replace them as soon as they 'died', but the fact that companies only allow you to renew them every month, sounds like you'll be needing to shell out a hell of a lot of money for them if they aren't lasting long.

If you used private proxies ONLY for posting/commenting, and you were blasting quite a lot each day, how long do you think 10 would realistically last?

I've got 2 set up at the moment but as I've only been using it heavily for a few days, I'm still not sure what order to do what task.

- Added all the results to Backlink Checker

The above can potentially result in millions of places to drop a link, but I could do with an organised plan to run through from A to Z if you get me.

I basically need a sure fire plan where you start at A, then do B ... then finish off with C and then start the process over again. I guess I might be trying to do too much at once.

For proxies, I use 10 private proxies per SB instance. This tends to work well most of the time. Sometimes I do have to switch out a proxy, but that is just the cost of doing business.

On any given day I keep about 6 instances running. Looking to add probably 2-3 VPS or dedicated servers that can handle running a couple of SB instances side by side. I have tons of computers laying around. They are a little older but they handle an SB instance just fine with no issues. It really becomes a bandwidth problem though as I don't have a big enough pipe to run more than 6 servers at a time. Hence I am looking to expand.

As far as managing, I just take notes, plan out my blasts and harvests. My main desktop has three monitors so I remote into all of my servers and spread them across two screens while I work on my third main monitor. I also have a laptop that I will remote in with in case I need two monitors to work (like when doing web dev and programming). I am looking though to hire a full time assistant though when I get my other boxes up cause running 12+ instances while also consulting is just WAY to labor intensive.

I can't really event a process for you. I do this full time. I have been in SEO for close to a decade now and running my own companies for 13 years. A lot of it is just management and planning.

When you say switch out, is this because the proxy is basically banned by Askimet so a lot of your posting with this proxy will fail?

What's the cost in switching to another proxy?

If a proxy does get flagged by askimet can the proxy still be used for other tasks such as backlink checking, link extracting, harvesting etc? In what way can a proxy become totally useless to a SB user?

I was able to grab an exact match .org domain name for keyword. All site has on it is WP install + a few plugins, three articles, and Adsense.

My test is to see how hard I can go on this site with just Scrapebox. If it gets sandboxed, I am going to keep slamming it till it comes out or 6 months go by with it completely de-indexed and dead.

Here is how it has ranked in Google for main keyword:
4/25: - (unranked)
4/26: 167
4/27: 68
4/28: 43

Started first scrapebox blast of 28,000 urls. Re-ran fails for a three days squeezing our more successful posts. Just grabbed list of successful posts, dumped those into links2rss.com to create XML lists, then uploaded those to separate domain name and mass pinged them.

Just started a massive 288,000+ url list of autoapprove blogs. Have it running on a dedicated server. Will probably take over night to finish.

I'll post an update tomorrow on rank and status of blast.

I am curious to get feed back from people. Has just blasting the shit out of your target website with SB worked for you? Did it fail miserably? I think we get so careful building these complicated link pyramids. I wanted to see for my self what would happen if I just beat the shit out of domain and tried to force my way to #1. If it crashes and burns, I'm only out $37 and had fun doing it.

What are your guys and gals thoughts?

I thought this would be a fun visual for how fast links are being picked up. This is from Majestic SEO:

As you can see, the rate at which links are picked up is pretty impressive. I haven't ran a big blast in a few days, hence the flatting out. I am currently expanding my AA lists. I would like to do a one million link blast in a day or two if I can muster the lists. I currently have several servers running just for this.

Also time to add new content, which I will do this evening, then backlink that in the next mega link blast.

As far as 'how do I acquire AA lists?'. It really is just brute force. I scrape like a mad man across over half a dozen servers. I am constantly re-compiling lists and scraping for more. There are no magic plugins that just automatically designate AA blogs from others. You have to scrape, post, check, repeat. The only trick is scale.

There really is not hidden trick that I am holding back. If you just have one server with one copy of SB, then building million link lists will take time. It does when you have your own cluster, a dedicated pipe, and private proxies.

Again, no trick, just scale.

I'm guessing there is a secret sauces that you use to get so many links indexed sooo quick... do tell

I read somewhere that Press Release sites are among the best PR backlink sites as Google apparently loves 'em. Do you go for those when backlinking.? BTW some are autoapproved,too

Hey Everyone,

Been a busy 24 hours. First I will write an update, then I will tackle a few questions and comments.

UPDATE:

So the site is doing pretty well. Still seeing a slow upward shift across all keywords. In Yahoo I am now #1 page 1 for over a dozen keywords. Rankings in Google are still moving up, but starting to slow down a bit. I am noticing a barrier for most keywords at position 10-15. I think I need a new round of blasting to specifically target those keywords. Still have lots of first page keywords though. Keywords that were position 40+ last week are all between 10-31 with the majority (75%) between 10-19, so definitely solid results and movement.

YSE links are sitting at 26,608. I'm seeing roughly 300-400 new links a day despite having not blasted for over a week. GWT continues to drift up as well with 203 keywords and 22,000 impressions now.

My main keyword slipped a spot to #8. I probably just need to boost link velocity. I've been meaning to hit my main keyword hard for a while now anyways.

Yes pretty much. When I see results against proven lists way off, then I know it is time to switch up proxies. I have several monthly proxy accounts that I just switch up and use. Off the top of my head I don't know what I spend on proxies.

As far as using them for link checking and such, definitely do that. Its really posting when they can get black listed.

I've addressed this in previous posts. I really don't do anything but blast. I don't like doing direct pings to link pages and only do that on small blasts to get a site indexed quickly. I am playing with pinging the root domain of the blogs I post on, so that the bot would trickle down to my links. Will post back on how well this works.

I don't specifically target PR site. I use SB as more of a carpet bomber. I'm looking at building up link velocity, so I just continuously blast. Most of the time I only blast my second and third tier links, but for this experiment it has been direct linking which, to my surprise is rocking. Again though, it is all about velocity. A one and done blast will kill you in Google.

MOVING FORWARD:

So moving forward, I am currently working on several new lists. I have over 3MM potential links that I have two SB servers evaluating for potential. When all is said and done, I expect this new list to be about a 1MM in length. With this list, I am going to do another massive blast against the site. Given how well it has taken these last links, I think it should be more than capable now of even larger blasts.

I'm also going to separate out some smaller, higher quality list for the upcoming service I am launching in about a week. These will focus on DF links, low OBL, and PR1+. I am also looking at putting together an exclusive list that contains ONLY edu and gov AA sites based on the feed back I have been given by people looking for these.

i definitely learned my lesson from doing a 100,000 auto approve scrapebox blast directly to the home page of my money site. my site got sandboxed for a few months. my site was ranked #3 before the big blast, when it got out of the sandbox it was ranked #50, google bot is much smarter now when it comes to blog comments.

AMR blast articles to your site, blast your ARM blasts with scrapebox and BOOYAA!!! I should buy private proxies and do blasting when i have time, looks like there is money in it

From all of my own experience, there is a right and wrong way to use SB. If you are going to blast heavy, like you 100K links, you have to keep link velocity up. Just blasting once will probably hurt you. But if you had run additional blasts over several weeks, then you probably would have been ok. That's just my two cents.

AMR has been really weird lately. I've actually had sites hurt blasting with AMR. I'd use other Web 2.0 and Bookmarking sites, then blast those links with SB.

Nice experiment you are working on. I have actually been doing something similar to you.

I've been blasting my site with only Scrapebox since a couple weeks ago. It's been sitting at the top of the third page for about 2 weeks now. Currently it has a bit more than 3.3k backlinks and is slowly rising. According to Traffic Travis, this is a moderate keyword to rank for and there are a couple authority sites up top.

Just like you, I feel like I am closing in (if not there already) on a glass ceiling. Rankings have been slower these past couple weeks and maybe some more diversity in my link building is in order.

I am especially curious as to what will happen with your site. I've never ranked with solely blog comments before and am looking forward to your results along with my own.

I am also looking forward to your lists and will be one of your customers for sure.

bfellow, I'm creating my own AA list. This is the method I'm using which may help others:

1. Load an existing AA list into the harvester (initially I'm using lists with about 1k blogs and I'll scale it up).

2. Run the Link Extractor, which will grab every single link on all of those AA blogs. If there's 1000 blogs and each blog has 40 blogs, then it'll be 40,000 links.

3. Run the Backlink Checker on all those 40,000 which often results in well over a million results.

4. I then run a test blast e.g. example.com

5. Run the Link Checker immediately after and see which have 'stuck'. In other words, all the blogs which has example.com listed.

6. These are AA so I then run the links that I'm promoting.

7. Add the new AA to my existing AA Master List.

8. Rinse and repeat and the AA Master list keeps getting bigger.


Is there any of the above you do differently, which you think will help my blueprint?

The bigger the numbers, the more AA blogs found.

Hey Everyone,

First an update like usual and then address comments and questions.

UPDATE:

Site is doing really well. Traffic continues to grow regularly. I've gone from 17-25 visitors at the beginning of the month to 47-57 visitors a day, so as far as traffic growth, doing great.

Primary keyword bumped back up a little bit to #7 from #10 a day or two ago, so some slight dancing, but nothing serious at all plus a quick recovery to old position.

I went into Awstats and grabbed a list of 61 keywords have have provided traffic this month and am currently running them through Rank Checker. Over half of the keywords I am position #1-5 page one in Google and Yahoo.

Moving forward, I started another hugh blast. The new list contains a little over 250,000 AA links and am getting a pretty decent first run posting rate. Had to change out a few proxies that I think Alkimist has picked up on. If you are getting lower posting rates than normal and you haven't changed your proxies lately, start there. I saw a 50% increase in posting rates after I changed mine.

I am using Rank Checker, a Firefox addon. There are much better rank checkers out there, but this one is free and dependable.

Good luck with your site! to break through those ceilings you either need to expand content or increase your links base. Might be a good time to add a link tier in there, say some Web 2.0 sites then blast the hell out of those with SB since they can take the links.

I should have a site up by the end of the week to sell links and services. When it is ready I'll announce it here.

No problem. Thanks for reading. When I started this project, the whole point was to help people get over the fear of sandbox. So many people do not act because of it. I've already made a profit on this site from Adsense, and it's only been up about a month now. I paid for the domain, the site, and the content. Every penny it generates going forward is pure profit. So if I was sandboxed it really wouldn't matter. I already pulled my money out.

If you have a large website that is you residual income, then I probably wouldn't use a tactic like this, but for a brand new site with minimum cost put in, why not try and go for it? Just maintain enough link velocity to keep you out of sandbox and you'll be fine.

I do blasts every day using Scrapebox. These are paid AA lists (pretty good and new actually).

But, my SquidProxies seem to burn out after just a few days. I currently have 10.

What is everyone using for proxies to do the blog comments?

I can't imagine any public ones I find, whether through the Scrapebox harvester or through my own efforts will be any better.

Any thoughts?

I can only swap out proxies once a month with SquidProxies.

You'll need to use more proxies, so they won't run out.. 10 is slightly less for everyday big blasts

I just started using Squid Proxies not to long ago. They have been pretty good, so I don't think you need to change. I have roughly 60 proxies from SP. I just burn through them over a month and change them out every new month. No matter who provides the proxies, they will get black labeled with heavy use. I think you just need more proxies. When I ramp up new servers, I am going to be looking at needing 200+ proxies a month, probably by mid June. You just have to work the cost into your business model.
