Mass Subscribe + unsubscribe = Penalties?

If you keep hitting limits and getting BLOCKED pop ups on instagram,
your account will get banned.

If you follow and unfollow too fast on Twitter, your profile gets restricted.

Are there penalties on YouTube for mass subscribing and unsubscribing?
I do hit a limits and told to "Wait a few hours" before subscribing more

But does this behavior lead to any penalties? Especially for a content creator?

yeah there is a thing called channel authority, losing channel authority will make your channel kind of blacklist by youtube.
And subcribers take part in it, if you have high number of subcribers losing some won't hurt but with small channel will trigger red flag

What do you mean subscribers take part in it?
I'm talking about the content creater with say, 9,000 subscriber.
He subscribes to 1000 channels in hopes they subscribe back, then unsubscribes to all who doesn't do so within say 10 days.

Yeah it could work and won't hurt your channel, but we don't know exactly which numbers of subcribe per day will trigger red flag.

I wouldn't do this. There are much easier way to get organic subscribers than to subscribe to 1,000 people and then unsubscribe hoping 5% will sub back.

Why not subscribe to people in the same niche and drop legitimate comments on their videos? Leeching off other people in the same niche is way easier imo. Partnering with them is even better.

I am targeting specific accounts (viewers) in my niche that I think will actually watch my videos.
My question is: Does the act of subbing and unsubbing so often (specifically that) have an algorithmic impact on the channel.
Not the effect of having inactive subs

Gotta agree with you.
It would be good to know what are the numbers of subscribe/unsubscribe on YouTube but, to be safe.

But if I was a content creator, I too wouldn't play around with that option but grow subscribers organically.
