• I didn't try any of them yet , but I am going to, because I need it for my wordpress too.
• I needed plugins which can upload also custom fields , so they should do it too .
• Try it and pls. let me know here if it works , I would be happy to know that too.
• CSV 2 Post_PRO is very rare to find , I've searched for it at least one week , I have installed it and I think that it should work well.

I get great support from my users but if I can get just a few more sales per month it will go a long way to my future plans in this area of Wordpress. I'll tell you a little about what I'm doing.

Both plugins have taking 2 years together and lot of that time is research. Figuring out the most common requirements so they are well defined and the rarer requirements so they aren't missed out but don't get in the way of the more basic user.

So I do put a lot of thought into it. Easy CSV Importer is the better plugin. CSV 2 POST was great at the beginning but when I started adding endless new features it became a mess. It was my first project out of University, it sold a lot, I made profit but to keep my customers happy I had to created ECI.

ECI is ready to use and was created with expansion in mind and expanding it has been. Every single day I add a new feature or make a key change to an existing feature. This is done in response to users.

Another 2 months development is planned including support content before development slows down to weekly or monthly updates, then I'm working on a new importer!

Can't tell you the name of the new csv importer plugint right now but you can bet it will be great. 2 years of feedback and support to me from my users (they have been great), will be put into the final solution. I've noted every request and suggestion down so that I can craft a plugin.

ECI is about to get a new version release later today for Wordpress 3.2.1, a free version will come tomorrow.

One of the changes in the latest version is the ability to merge 3 columns into one, just for the category description, that is how much thought goes into ECI. SEO will continue to get better with features like this because content can easily be unique. The new importer will do it even better.
