Mass Page Creation ?

Hi,

I stumbled on a thing that i have not yet found back here if it would be black hat or white hat seo.
Or i just dont know the naming of this yet.

Googling one day for something in my neighboorhood i found a webshop on page 1 who had a page dedicated to a product i was looking for and the keyword of my city located in that page.

Diving deeper i found out that this site had hundrerds of pages with the same page content but only changing that one keyword. This site now pops up on page 1 when filling in any village/city next to the product.

My question is what would be the impact/risk/things i should consider if i would create a thousand pages with changing keywords in the content of my site?

Maybe serp.farm , there are others but that's the one that I think gets updated the most. The biggest risk you'll find and that's a big one is getting de-indexed.
 
this is called doorway pages. its an old trick that is being done since google exists. its a blackhat technic, but still works even today.
the worst that can happen usually is that these extra sites get removed from the index after a while.

Both Argo and serp.farm seems to be doing just that but in a more complex way for quite a price.
After a research it seems for mass creating pages with changing keyword worst case the page that gets flagged will be not indexed.

As the process is simple ill be using a home-brewed vba bot to create for me these pages :)
 
Seeing more and more of these auto generated pages.

They were big like 10+ years ago. Then Google effectively killed them. Now they're back.
 
Obviously using a tool like serp.farm to create a PBN is not going to work because of serious footprints being created (domains, hosting etc)?

they have never been gone. also if google would have "killed them" why would they be back working now? doesn't make sense. its just myths spread in the SEO community about things that supposedly dont work without actually trying ;)

Google changed a lot in their core algorithms. This might be what you'd call a "regression" where some previously fixed spam type got overseen in their switch to newer algorithms.
 
I don't know if this will help, but there is a PLR product called "Massive Site Builder"

It takes PLR articles (or other articles) and builds them into large websites

Google "massive site builder". You will see it

i've auto generated sites since around 2007 and ever since its been working, never had any issues other than some sites losing rank after a while of not being promoted, but never had a single site deindexed.

That's a remarkable record, Styx. 12 years without a single one nuked is impressive.

Recall that in 2007 we were all doing more black hat than ever before and getting sites back up was fast, so most black hats were churning tens of sites monthly. I ended up with a few hundred trash domains in my account.

So to keep spinning content with zero knockouts is remarkable indeed. Honestly not doubting you.

Point here is that, from my observations and I may be wrong, I'm seeing more of these than a few months ago. I'm talking about changes in updates since may 2019.
 
maybe more people are doing it now.. or well again :)
