I will start this with a big benefit for unmarried people that they can do social work taking more risks and thus challenging the bad policies of current government.

Benefit of family is that you have someone to enjoy life with permanently.

What are your views about this ? Please keep the thread clean.

The biggest pro for having a family is the motivation to do better and build something better. Needless to say you can have that motivation when you're single, but you take stuff a bit more seriously when there are people depending on you.

The con is that it is a heavy drain on time and energy.

lol what fairy tale is that from? No real relationship is like that. The infatuation period always fades, afterwords its the reality of spending a relatively short time(read long) tied to a single person. There are great moments but there are absolutely hellish moments too. It takes commitment to come out on the other side together. These romeo juliet love stories are only stories.
 
I'm okay with having a "permanent" girlfriend to live with. No marriage, no kids. It would be the perfect Life, at least for me

There's no difference. If you're from the USA, Canada, even the UK I'm sure (any tier 1 countries) then after 6 months of living with her, she'll take your your ass to court til she gets half. She'll also live in your house, kick you out and fuck another dude while you pay for it all, when you split up. I prescribe you 5 episodes of Joe Rogan.

If it's a gf, why make it permanent?
