Honestly, BHW could really use a standard escrow service. It would generate a ton of money for the platform and it could also reduce the incidence of scam by a really large margin.

I am trying to complete a deal with a certain premium member but due to some other of his posts that I saw, I am really skeptical about the whole deal.

If there was escrow security available on this platform then, things would have been a lot easier

Do deals with established members only when dealing above $50-$100, doing a deal with a noob at like 120 posts is very risky. Just normal sense. This escrow question has been up for debate hundreds of times here.

if your alarm bells are going off for a certain premium member, you are better off avoiding them.
the dispute board is pretty good at getting bad characters banned. but the money sent over will be long gone.
do your due diligence on any seller. take post count, likes, account age all into consideration. you may also click into their profile and click the 'feedback' tab.

No one denies the upsides of Escrow - it would surely make payments more secure.

It comes down to liability - it is too much risk and headache for the forum to assume.

As said above, deal with reputed members, and keep all conversations on the forum.

Overall, though, very few scams occur here in contrast to how large the community is.
 
To run an escrow service, the forum needs to hire a whole lot of people, including a legal team. The cons probably outweigh the pros for DD and that is why there's no escrow service here.
It's better to do your due diligence before purchasing a high ticket service.
