Anyone got any good marketing letter templates for web design. Found a few local businesses that do not have a website and could be losing out on potential business. So I'm going to utilise this opportunity and sell them some websites :)

I'm struggling mainly with the introduction and how to get them hooked immediately? They probably don't have a website because they are IT phobic. So complicated wording etc will not get me far. Hard to get into the mindset of that sort of person.

I've also added two A4 flyers with offers etc with the letter. So hopefully this will work. Any idea or small templates would be appreciated.

Regards

thought about just go over there and talk to the business owner aka "Gorilla Marketing"

Before you go in for the close, you need to have a sample website or some websites up and running in the respective niches that you are targeting. You need to clarify that their site will look exactly like your sample site with the exception that you will be adding a custom logo or a custom header.

The point being, if you want to get them hooked IMMEDIATELY, you need to show them a completed sample site or completed sample sites in their niche. You also need to set it up so that they end up getting 12 months of hosting with the website and a custom logo or header. BUT, anything beyond that as far as customization is concerned will be a lot extra.

The point being, you want to stay away from customizations unless you are prepared to deal with clients, CSS, PHP, jQuery.ajax, etc., etc. Inevitably, if you give clients the option to choose, you have to charge much higher prices to make up for your time and work.

The problem with that mode of doing web design is that it does not bode well for small business people looking to cut costs. Consequently, if you set up operation so that all of your sample sites can be instantly cloned, you will rock!!!

To recap, if you want to hook them immediately, show them premium WP themes that you have added a custom logo or custom header to and add filler content and let them choose their site from your selection. You want to offer them a package deal that all they have to do is sign up, pay you and provide their contact info and any content and they are DONE!

P.S. your package should also include social media, (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube)

Yea the flyer included 3 offer packages, the best one offering social media integration and an online store that will allow their customers to buy and lay online. I have been very entrepreneurial with regards to the flyers and offers etc, but it's my selling skills that are lacking and my letter needs to be a killer. Thanks for the tips :)

Any more ideas would be appreciated.

Give some solid proofs of what benefits they will get from you if they take your services. This will convince them more.

Do not forget testimonials with realistic results or proofs. Nothing beats that.

I've looked at the thread posted by qu4k.. looks like some awesome info for offline stuff..
