When you outsource jobs on freelancer . co m,never release the milestone payment to the free lancer without running a background check on your employer.They will just vanish forever! Today I was cheated by a person from Pakistan.That's the second time I get stuck on freelancer . c om.

I think fiverr has a more reliable payment scheme than freelancer . c om.

Sure, always, I can tell him not to release the funds beofore he see his job done. Ask yourself, would you send money to a complete stranger living on the other side of the world? Well, that's what he did and now he is complaining....whatever
 
If you continue that kind of attitude, you will surely be scammed again and not just on Freelancer. Be more responsible! :)

The freelancer has five star review and at least 10k+ turnover,so I gave him a ??% milestone.And,as I know,there are people outsource SEO projects to Indian lancer with 100% payment in advance,then reap the ranking after 2 months.That's the pattern people often adopt at freelancer .c om.That runs the risk,that's a part of freelancer. c om.Fiverr is safer reg the payment system.

While I was complaining,I was also reminding readers to be careful.You get a B- on "solving" my problem.However,your avatar looks clever.

Btw,BlueClever. c om is an available domain name for anyone to register.Enjoy!

Try to avoid hiring freelancers with no or few reviews.
You will need to pay a little more to an experienced one but surely you will not get scammed.

How many times did you use it else where? Or you just create the one for me? My suggestion:adding a second line like "freelancer .c om is dangerous" or other sentences.Words is everything.

That guy has five star class and at least 10k+ turnover.And milestone is an existing scheme at freelancer .c om.I think it's freelancer .co m's responsibility to handle the payment pattern.

Fiverr is safer,cheaper and more effective nowadays,especially regarding general seo related jobs.
 
I've made some attempt on Freelancer.com as well - it was a waste of time - only scammers or not-professional persons - they just want to pickpocket your money and that's it.

Fiverr as well - there are not so many reliable sources - not to pay the money in advance - NO WAY
 
Maybe odesk is a good alternative - had some work done there (data collection) and was really pleased with my VA - nice guy!
 
Odesk is working great in the last time but still they have their "problems" - no freelancers website is safe from them - they are everywhere :)
 
never release any milestone until at least some of the work is done. Never give in to freelancers who demand you to release the milestone up front.
 
freelancer is a money eating machine! , Once you connect your paypal to it you can get robbed 500$ within 1 day of using it without even knowing.
The support there is just terrible, I try to avoid it as much as possible.
 
One more vote to stay away from freelancer.com. Its one of worst sites in the history of internet outsourcing. They were once the pioneers in internet marketplaces when they were owned by the Netherlands based guys. After they got acquired by this Australian company, they went all about money only, customer support went shit and also the quality of people on the site.

BTW these guys also acquired scriptlance.com and rentacoder and turned them to shit too :)

OP, if you really want to buy SEO services why not use BHW Marketplace section, its heavily moderated and you wont find a single person who can rip you off, like running away with your money. You are always protected, that's the advantage of being a member here. I think you can find almost anything you are looking to buy. Unless you want to buy the world for $5, in that case I think you got what you deserve, a RAPE OFF :P

Hi,Bill,I've tried BHW market place for youtube views/press release and some other services.Surely I can get the commitment delivered,as same as at fiverr . c om.

That's not about standing on BHW or on fiverr.I'm stating a fact:

At fiverr,you get the job done at first,other wise fiverr will REFUND the money you paid in advance.The payment is held and monitered by the third party--the fiverr . com.And it's mandatory:at fiverr you can not release the payment to seller before you get seller's report.That's the difference between fiverr and BHW which buyer release the payment DIRECTLY to sellers.I think fiverr's scheme is the trend.Taobao . com is another successful platform which has the same payment pattern as fiverr.

And Bill,you know when people get in the beginning phase,they tend to try cheaper and safer things instead of more expensive ones.
However,fiverr and BHW MP is complementary I think.Surely I can not buy the world from fiverr,I never expect it.
 
I got scammed on Freelancer the other day. I hired a coder to code a bot for me to do really simple things...Only difference is I didn't release the milestone and we're currently in a Dispute.
 
I can't believe that there are people still giving away their CC info to Freelancer.com.......
