How many of you are doing more manual link building these days? I know that before penguin/panda it was something of a joke, but I'm thinking that more of us are likely forced into it now. And if you are doing it more, what brought you to that decision? And how has it worked out for you... any gains from all the work?

Well, we believe in Manual link building and we are following them always.

we own a professional seo firm, we do all works manually. unique content and regular bookmarking will bring ranking for sure.

So you weren't using a lot of software and spinning BEFORE panda/penguin even?

Well, I only build first tier links manually with unique content.

I have been using G00gle alerts to get me blogs or forums so I can post on. However on blogs, commenting I would use this as keyword:

My Name (at) My Website Brand Name

Does this work? And how often do you bookmark? And is it done with multiple accounts and are the same accounts posting multiple bookmarks?

I think you're talking about manual blog commenting. And no, I don't do any blog comments anymore.

I only create short unique articles to post on Web 2.0s and article submissions.
I do this because I think it's better in the long run and spun content never seems okay. Plus I don't have a spinner to spin the content lol.

I then blast the web 2.0s with automated stuff :)

Can anyone share with me a small list of urls where I can manually build links?

thanks.

How do you automate the 2.0s?

I am doing manual link building and i am satisfied with results.. I am also providing manual blog commenting service.

I do manual link building mostly for blog comments on high pr pages and forum posting.
Apart from this i m trying my hands to find a good list of angela backlinks.

I do it often. It takes more time, but it's better to have more relevant related links than just spam links every where that don't last. Those are good for short term, but if they don't last, what's the point?

any tips on screening for blogs? do you look for blogs that don't have the "no follow" tags?

Good question. What blogs are best to spend time on?

I have only used manual linkbuilding for my last website and have seen great results. I target big authority websites. You usualy have to register to leave comments. But if you search you can find 1/2 year old articles with PR3+ with 2/3 outbound links.

Example : shutterbug.com is a website I love to use for manual linkbuilding.

i tried manual link building, but it sucked for me, cause it was painfully slow... i guess it works if you dedicate to it lots of time... i have a full time job, so it dosent really work for me.

shutterbug is too spammed by senuke IMO

Been building links manually for a long time now. As one of the members said, I mostly build 2.0's and stick my links in any high pr site which has relevant content to my niche. I only use totally unique content, no spin, no rewritten content. My content, my words. Anchors are super diverse.

The big change I've made is mentally, you have to think a lot more white hat now. Some grey hat works, a touch of black hat, but mostly white hat.

I've been doing guest posting for about 8 months now. I see more gains from 1 guest post than I do with everything else I try. Use scrapebox with footprint "write for us" or "guest post," run a domain PR check and start looking for opportunities from PR9-4. You'll find some gems in the bunch, but it will take time. Most sites have a set of guidelines you have to follow so your e-mails need to be unique to that site. I'll usually get 1 opportunity every 2-4 hours. Outsource the article and then plug your link in a few spots where it makes sense. Relevant + high quality + hard to get = win.

How do you automate the 2.0s?

Why would you want to automate the 2.0s? You're going to have to write the articles anyways. Unless of course, you're lazy as phuck and want to spin it or even worse, you want to scrape them then spin them.

Senuke X
GSA SE Ranker

that's all I got lol.
