Quick question though, lol. Now I'm debating a bit. SEO Quake, SEO for Chrome, SEO Site Tools.
Which one you think is best? Have you tried the others and just didn't like them? Seems like each one of the tools have some inaccurate information so it's hard to choose. Feels like so much eye candy though, lol.
It appears that yahoo site explorer is showing a lot of yahoo answer links that I've left my site's link on, but one of the forums I've been posting on aren't showing. I'm curious to know why my backlinks aren't showing on that forum and how to avoid forums like that now.
Any idea anyone?
I wrote the SEO Site Tools chrome extension... some of the numbers that fluctuate wildly are scraped from google (as well as other places) and are known to be prettymuch useless except they are good for relative comparisons but
Id like to know what blackhat seo tools people would like to see, both as a service (server side) and context scripts and onpage analysis / tools or any new tools / feature ideas that would be fun to implement
Don't worry about if a resource shows your backlinks or not. Some forums show up in yahoo, some don't. All you need to worry about is if the page that your link is on, is indexed by google.
As far as Google not showing links, it's random what they show. My links fluctuate in G all the time. Somedays shows 2, somedays shows 15. They do only tend to index high pr links, and links from sites that they trust. If you pay attention, you will see sites with literally hundreds of thousands of links in yahoo, but not a single one in google. It's normal, and the only way to get a better idea, is to register your site with webmaster tools.
