pexels and flickr are both good for trying to get links.

how does those links perform?
If you are looking for specific niche-related links from the photos. It might be best to get a lot of construction photos for the construction niche, etc. You cannot really control the sites using it.
Oof flickr seems to be the only place to upload and require attribution. They limit you to 1000 pics before requiring a 60$ a year membership. I just uploaded 100 unquie high resolution photos.
They don't have auto tagging either.. also not a popular site as it on e was.

Unsplash or Pexels. I've used Unsplash for link building with great success.
Both make your photos public domain easntly. How well did it work?
